Some of you already know that my cat Lynxx is having a very rough time adjusting to Luna and Midnight. He's gone from eating very little, to now eating nothing at all. I originally feared he wouldn't be here for 2011. Now I don't even think he'll be here for Thanksgiving. The Prozac hasn't kicked in yet, it was just given to him to late.

We've looked online, asked people for suggestions. We've tried all kinds of cat food can, and dry. We've tried kitten food. We've tried baby food. He did eat tuna (his old favorite) but now he won't even take a lick of it. We've tried cottage cheese. We've tried milk. We've tried canned pumpkin. We've tried chicken. Any other foods you guys can think of that we can try that he might eat?

He's going to the vet tomorrow, hopefully she can suggest something else to try.

Did they show you how to forcefeed for right now? Just put some on your finger, pop open the mouth quick, and squish it right in. You can even chew for em if you must, and as long as its quick and fluid its not a big deal for em.

Purina makes a probiotic powder that you mix in with wet that is delicious, and you can also entice by sprinkling on a light coat of pamesean powder cheese on top to give it an appealing aroma.

If the issue is stress, I'd also obviously focus on reducing that. Put on bells keep separated if you can, or at least provide a lot of different levels (cat shelves, trees, etc) so they can avoid each other if desired. Best of luck.

Hopefully the vet can tell you if its just a medical problem. Be sure to let the vet know if kitty has been constipated and what not, anything that can affect appetite.

We have a dropper that we put milk in last night, and I held Lynxx's mouth open while my mother forced the milk down. He spit most of it up, but I think he did get some in him.

I will try both of your suggestions. Thank you.

We took Lynxx to the vet today, she doesn't think all this is caused by the stress of the other kittens. She said he's losing way to much weight for just not eating. On Tuesday he's getting an ultra sound done, because she believes he has intestinal cancer.

If that turns out to be correct, that would explain why Lynxx is just so repulsed by food. You hold cat food in front of him, or even tuna, he takes a whiff and dry heaves right away, like just the thought of food makes him sick.
