Four Cats

I find them like this, all near one another, most of the time. They are all such good friends, they just love to hang out together.

Aww, that's great.

I like to think that when we get another cat (SOON! Before the end of the year for sure!) that it and Genever will be friends like that. You could easily replace 3 cats with my BF and I in that photo, because Genever is always hanging out with/on us. I love it! We're best buds, just like your crew!

That's really nice, Otto. None of mine actually cuddle each other, but they are often in the same room. Ariel and Lily will like next to each other, especially here next to the computer. And very often, they are all in the same room I'm in. That makes me happy!



However, I'm talking about the 4 who are well adjusted to living here. Tonya, the new girl, is still living in isolation in the guest room. However starting this weekend I put up a very tall baby gate metal fence. So far, no one has jumped over it. And Tonya hasn't been hiding under the bed all the time either. She's looking out her window, and even hissing/growling at the others when they peer at her by the fence - but she's choosing to be right on the other side.

I love these kinds of threads but I hate these kids of threads... I want to get Holland a friend, but I'm not in a situation to do it right now, so she will be my one and only for a while. It's funny because I'm already worrying about how Holland will do when she's no longer an only child, even though I'm nowhere near being able to take another one in right now...

Anyway, cute pics!! Robin, I'm a sucker for black cats, thanks for the picture!

I have "a thing" about black cats, too. I think they are just beautiful. And of course because the color is dominant, there are so many. The shelter is always teaming with them.

I always marvel at horses - how in a huge pasture they will be right on top of each other. But horses are herd animals, and, well, they like each other. A lot of people don't think cats are so chummy. But we know differently.

This morning my two boys, who are very competitive with each other, and barely tolerate each other much of the time, were on the same half of the couch together.

Here's a photo of that:



That's Lily up top (favorite morning spot) and Harlow and Claude on the couch. The harmony between them didn't last long, but it was nice while it lasted.
