Constipation, water enema?

Hi all, my 16yrs old cat is having constipation for the first time in his life and it is about a week now. He is only about to push out about an inch a day and no sign of improvment, over the last week his leg weaken alot and to the point that I need to find a way to get it out.

Vet bill is not an issue but I don't think kitty can handle the visit anymore. While I am searching I come across with this thread.

And "the food lady" wrote a detail instruction on how to give water enema, since I havn't done it before is it safe for me to try?

And 50cc looks like alot for a cat.

Any advise?

Call and talk to your vet.. Yes Mine has given me instruction on enemas but it is something you need to talk to you vet about...Ask your vet if it is at all possible to make a housecall
