iPod touch users: help?

What kind of case do you have for your Touch????

Santa came early for me, via my hubbys credit card points (thankfully we don't spend that much money but his work does and he uses this one CC for it, so we earn points) in the form of an iPod Touch. This is my first Apple product actually, and we went to a store yesterday to look for a case (right now I'm using the thick hard case that it was packaged in) and couldn't find one I liked. (that store didn't have a huge selection)

I would ultimately like something that protects both front and back.

I have dropped my cell numerous times, and don't expect this to be any different.

So I need something for both safety (in case of drops), something to hold on to (the silicone grips work good for my hands, as long as they have texture) as well as a way to carry it with me.

I saw an armband that had a removeable case, so you could wear the iPod in the armband or take the case off the armband if you want.

But I'll be darned if I can find that product again. I saw it online but can't figure out where I saw it LOL.

So I'm looking for personal experiences here, what do you have ( a link to the case would be great ), do you like it, does it work well for both accessibility and safety against drops, etc.

Thank you for your input

That's what I'm looking for, too. I'm using the hard case that my iPod was packaged in, but that's a pain. I told DH that I'd like to have some kind of a sleeve or case for mine, too. I dropped my old cell phone and it came apart more times than I want to think about.

Sorry for hijacking your thread! But we were just talking about the iPod last night and that I needed a case or something for it.

Yep, thats what I'm using too...Its a pain since its so bulky
I've dropped it once already, thankfully not a big drop but it slipped outta my hand, hence putting me on the immediate search for a better case.

Hopefully some others have suggestions

I've dropped my ipod touch more times than I can count in the year I've had it, and thankfully it's never busted. I have a this case from speck, and it's served me well.

My husband has a case from Griffin Technology that he loves. I'm asking for one for Christmas myself. We have the 3rd gen iPod Touches, so you'll want to make sure you look for the right one. This is their website: http://www.griffintechnology.com/

They also have the armbands.

I have a soft rubberized one for the back and then I used screen film for the front. It wasn't cheap, but I love it. It looks like this only with a purple background.

I've gone through a lot of cases all of them bought through ebay. There are so many to choose from there and they are so cheap, as opposed to the $20+ cases they sell at the apple store and best buy, and all they are is a piece of plastic! Totally not worth the $20 IMO.

I have one of the soft rubber cases to protect the back, and a film guard on the front. I also have a leather case that worked great to protect it, but I like the rubber one better.
And believe me, anything you take in a diesel truck takes a beating.

You can get the rubber case with an included face shield on e-bay for next to nothing.

Here's an example:

Ipod case and screen guard

$3.74, free shipping, case and screen guard included. Be sure you check what cases are compatible, if you have a 4th generation ipod.

Speck has a neat line of hard plastic cases with a silicone interior. They're called Candyshell cases and you can buy them from the Apple store, but I think they're about $35 and they don't come with a film screen protector, so you'd have to buy one separately. I bought a silicone Switcheasy Colours case and it comes with two film protectors.

But if you were wanting a hard case, then the Speck ones sound pretty good to me. I know Griffin and Scosche make decent hard cases, too.

Ooooo what a fun present! Can't help you with the case, but wanted to say - MERRY CHRISTMAS early!

I would recommend an invishield. They are a little more expensive, but worth it!! Gary has one on his Droid X.
I have an Iphone and I have this case in the blue and green color and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I got it for $14 at the ATT store when I went to get my iphone activated.
Also Deal Extreme has very cheap apple accessories including cases. They are just a little slow to ship.
Everydaysource.com is another good one. They seem to ship faster but the prices are higher on some things!
