Outgoing Florida Governor wants the late Jim Morrison pardoned for exposing himself in Miami.

One would think there are more important issues to deal with! People like this running government would be enough to scare me so perhaps the paranoia is warranted.

I don't know if you are familiar with Crist, but he is a republican turned independent, so he was on the contraversal side already. Maybe he likes the attention... Or he's a huge Doors fan.
