Well, this is delayed as usual.

Well, here is my question..

How many hours sleep do you get every night? Do you suffer from insomnia? If so, how often?

I usually get about 7 hrs sleep per night. I do have occasional insomnia. Last night, for instance, I tossed and turned until about 1:30-2:00am. Not good when you have to be up at 6:30am....

I need at LEAST 8 hours of sleep to function. I haven't been sleeping well at all lately though with foster cat Surprise in our room.

I have lymes so I sleep at least 12 a night and some naps. If I dont do much besides daily stuff then one nap a few hours long. If I go out a full day then the next I usually will wake feed pets/walk dog and crash out for a good 4 hours or more.

If I have bottle babies I will function on ALOT less. Granted I wont drive then cause I know I would be a risk on road.

Usually between 6 and 8, but I can function without a problem on 4 and function as well as a zombie with 2
. I don't think I have insomnia, but every once in a while, I just won't be able to turn my brain off and I'll be up all night. But that's not too bad. It gives me more time to play with the kitties
or more time on here.

The amount of sleep I get varies. I do suffer from insomnia, but usually once I can GET to sleep I sleep just fine and can actually sleep for a VERY long time. It's just getting to sleep that is the problem. I get anywhere from 4/5-12+ hours of sleep each night, like I said it varies. If I take something to put me to sleep I can get 8+, but if I don't I end up staying awake until I practically pass out, and get maybe 4 or 5 hours. Tonight I took an Ambien and will be to sleep by around 10:30 and will sleep until 8:15 tomorrow when I have to take DS to school.

I tend to go in spells.....I'll go with hardly any sleep for weeks, then I'll crash and burn. Probably about 3-4 hours lately.

Last night we went to bed around 10:30. Around 2:30 this morning, Amber and Ms. Pepe went at it and the growls and yowls awakened us. That was it for me for sleep.

Unfortunately I have had problems sleeping lately or I don't sleep thru the whole night. If this keeps up I may get sleeping pills from my Dr. I don't function at all without a good nights sleep. Thank goodness I'm retired or I would really have a problem staying awake at work.

I not too sure how much sleep I get on average a night. I'd guess around 4 to 12. I get insomnia frequently so it's really hard to say.

During the night? None. I go to sleep around 7 am, roll around few hours and fall asleep maybe around 11. Then I get to sleep 3-4 hours before either Luna or my ex wakes me up when he comes from work. Hopefully things get a bit better when he moves out soon.. Insomnia is very familiar to me.
Today I've been snoozing few hours every now and then, this flu is taking all of my energy.

I have the complete opposite of insomnia. I sleep waaaaaay too much, but then again I go to sleep way later than normal people do.

6 to 8 hours on average. Depending on how tired I am or how preoccupied I become with something I may go to bed at 10pm or I may stay up to 3 or 4am working on something.

I do not have insomnia, I can go to sleep and stay asleep (unless something forces me awake) any time I want to. I could go fall asleep right now if I wanted to.
I do, however, have problems with hyper-focusing on things and needing to complete them before I can sleep, otherwise I keep thinking about finishing what I was doing or worse dream about it.
(computer related stuff especially)

I did have an incident around 11 years ago shortly after my uncle's death. It wasn't his death that was the problem, it was the people constantly in my home harassing me - and because these people did not respect a shut bedroom door I spent my time elsewhere and thus didn't sleep. I spent roughly 5 days and maybe 20 hours awake. I started to have minor hallucinations on the 5th day.

My Doctor does not believe in prescribing sleeping pills. Last night, I took 1/2 of a Excedrin PM, basically 1/4 dose. It gave just enough to fall asleep quickly.
