Vibes needed for brother's cat

Si, the Psycho Siamese, is very ill and probably won't make it much longer. She's 17 years old and has had problems with more and more frequent URI's. But this time, the antibiotics didn't help, and she's fading fast.

My brother is torn up about it. He's had her since she was born, handled her while she was still wet, and she's been his heart cat ever since. Always sleeps beside him. Hates being out of his sight. And tests everything he eats.

He had to go into town earlier, and came home to find her hanging by her claws, almost unconscious, on the side of the bed. Apparently she didn't make the jump up on the bed. And the only vet in town isn't open again until Friday.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It is heartbreaking to lose any pet but especially so when it is your "heart" cat. I'm sending prayers for your brother to heal quickly from his loss.

That poor little baby! I'm so sorry for her and for your brother. Many for both of them.

Many that either Si miraculously rebounds, or that her crossing is peaceful and your brother can deal with it, knowing that they had a lot of good years together.

Si peacefully crossed the bridge yesterday morning. My brother had been up with her all night, just watching her, so he knew when it happened, about 5 a.m.

He is really torn up about it. He's had her for 1/3 of his life, sleeping next to her virtually every night, usually with her under the covers.
