i was stroking a cat and i accidently stood on his tail

he is a deaf cat

i'm wondering do deaf cats have less senses and thus moves it tail near my feet a lot , because i noticed he often moves its tail near my feet and i have to keep adjusting myself , whereas other cats do not do this as much

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Our deaf cat has better senses than our other kitties - I think she's much more aware of vibration or something. She always keeps her tail tucked around her - very ladylike.

Our other cats, on the other hand... let's just say I seem to step on Billy's tail daily. I pretty much tip-toe around the kitchen now, because he's ALWAYS under foot!

I stepped on Mazy cat's tail once. And to add insult to injury, I didn't know what it was, just felt this lump, so pressed down harder with my foot. (I was wearing slippers and it was on a rug..but still....)

Poor Mazy ate with her back to the wall for a week after that.

Just a thought may want to take it to vet for check up if overdue. Only cat I had who showed less tail sensitivity was a diabetic cat who lost feeling in his tail and back legs.
