Renal failure - advice on what to feed, please

Thread Starter
Hello,

My Mum has a beloved cat, Clarice, who is 12.

The vet says the cat has renal failure, but didn't suggest anything re. what food to give. He pretty much said there's nothing that can be done.

Clarice has always been a fairly lethargic cat, but otherwise seems pretty healthy.

She is, however, a very fussy eater... any suggestions, please, on what types of food - both wet and dry - we can give Clarice?

(My Mum is a pensioner, and funds are tight, so she wouldn't be able to afford anything too expensive).

I saw online that "Renafood" (available from the States) is recommended as a good detoxifier...

Many thanks

Richard

Please seek another Vet As soon as Possible !..... Do Not buy food online , a Reputable online company will not sell you food without a RX from a vet .

Please read this thread and as I know this is hard ... http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=119727
