Good morning

An old question I haven't seen on here for a while and having new members......

Whats your favourite sandwich filling?

Im not a big sandwich eater but it would either be a yummy fried egg sandwich with bacon or a cheese and bacon sandwich. If its a hoagie though, roast beef and mozzarella cheese...yum yum yum.

Roast beef and cheddar or provolone. But I'm not big into sandwiches often, they get boring after a couple days.

I love a good Italian sub, but usually end up with plain old ham.

We don't eat sandwiches that often, so for us, they're a treat. I love tuna salad melts. However DH's favorite sandwich on earth is a Batter Bread Sandwich.

I make the bread from scratch and let it rise. Since it's a batter dough, there's no kneading involved. Then I shape into a nice round loaf and bake it. After it's cooled down, we slice it in half and slather mayo and mustard over both halves. And then DH fills it with whatever he wants..... lettuce, tomatoes, red onion slices, slices of corned beef, pastrami, roasted turkey, and either provolone cheese or smoked Gouda. And sometimes both. Sometimes he'll use Muenster or fontina. Wrap it up in foil and heat it in the oven until the cheese oozes.

It's a special treat for us and I'll make it for a Saturday night supper for when we've rented several movies on a cold Saturday night. He just loves it.

I go into spurts with sandwiches. Sometimes I don't have a sandwich for months and don't even bother buying bread since it just goes stale. When I do have a sandwich I like the normal lettuce, tomato and mayo on most cold cuts.

I'm not a big sandwich eater either, I think I ate too many of them as a kid
but when I do, I like swiss cheese and either a maple ham or a spicy turkey with miracle whip or a flavored spread like horseradish mayo
I actually love to eat ham and swiss cheese roll-ups, no bread or sauce, just ham and cheese

Oh, my.... that's something I haven't thought of in a while.... we used to have a deli around here that made the most awesome tuna salad melt.... they don't anymore :-(. That's probably my favorite sandwich, but I don't make a lot of tuna salad because hubby LOVES tuna in any form or fashion but he's terribly allergic to it.....

I like lots of veggies in there and hummus. A lot of times I just eat a salad instead and skip the bread, it makes me feel better when I eat veggies with a fork
