Question about Soft Paws

Thread Starter
We got Soft Paws (you know they are plastic things that cover your cats claws) for the kittens, so they won't hurt each other when they play. We know they were put on correctly because we had the vet tech put them on for us yesterday.

Luna and Midnight spent all day and all night playing with each other. We let them play for a little while each day but we seperated them afraid they'd hurt each other. Yesterday was the first time they were allowed to just play all the time.

Anyway 3 of Midnight's Soft Paws fell off. Is this normal? They weren't even on him a full day! We thought they lasted 6 weeks before they fell off. Or do they normally last 6 weeks, and it was just because Midnight was playing, and running around so much?

Does anyone else use Soft Paws? Did anyone else have this problem?

They come in various sizes. Its possible they were sized wrong.

But six weeks? YEAH RIGHT! Manufacturer is stretching the truth on that one for sure.

Some cats can chew theirs off in five minutes. Those that don't, they will fall off at different times. The first on Buttercup fell off after two days, about half by a week, and the rest lasted about a month. Wesley had lost two the first week, and then the rest lasted a month, so he was a little better.

From what I had read doing my research, you should expect them to last about 3 weeks.

Sometimes if the aren't completely dry before you kitty runs around they fall off easier. I try to do Echo's when he asleep so I know they can dry for a long time before hand. Also remember that cats nails shed, so it could have just been that time for your kitty.
