I have a 8month old cat who is a indoor cat who has always been curious about the outdoors, the other day he slipped by me and got out for the first time I attempted to pick him up and bring him back inside but he hissed at me and tried to bite me I let him go not wanting to get hurt, needless to say he played outside all day and we were not able to get him inside, later on we noticed that he was sitting on our deck fur standing up and making odd noises my boyfriend and I could see another cat with him, my boyfriend tried to pick him up but we failed again we left him outside for the night. I woke up the next day and checked on him he was under our deck meowing once he heard me he quickly came up to me rubbing himself near my leg i walked back inside and he followed, the other cat appeared again before we left it seems like it was under the deck with my cat, my cat stayed in side all day and slept and cuddled near us however once night time game around he cried and moaned all night, what is wrong with him? it seems like he couldnt wait to get inside and now he wants to go outside? any input would be great...Thanks!

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

If he isn't neutered, maybe he wants to go outside to mate. Or maybe he just wants to be an outside cat. My great grandmother got a cat for me named Mickey when I was very little. Mickey was spayed, that didn't stop her from trying to get out every chance she got. She just wanted to be outdoors.
I've lucked out with Lynxx, he has no interest in going outside. The 1 time he did go outside he just froze, and my grandfather carried him back into the house. He never tried to get out again.

I wonder if his "friend" is a female in heat. Having him neutered is not only a smart thing to do, it will keep him from wanting to roam and it's healthier for him, too.

Yes, he's just about that age to start feeling his oats. You're lucky he hasn't started spraying indoors. I'd suggest having him neutered ASAP to prevent trouble (and unwanted pregnancies).
