When in the world GiGi went from cute adorable little kitten to a full grown adult?????????????

Forreal Im baffled, either my eyes played tricks on me and I just never saw her grow up or overnight she just went "BAM adult kitty is me" I need to hunt up some pictures for comparison of then and now..then being literally like the other day when I realized holy fudge my baby kitty grew up and is now an adult.

Has anyone else had this happen to them, wake up one morning and you no longer have a little kitty but a full blown cat?

Aw....I want my Queen Eva to stay a baby forever, she is such a nice Baby. I keep telling her not to grow up too fast!

My last kitten was Tolly and that was over 11 years ago, so I don't remember his transition, either that or he didn't really seem to change much he's still the cheerful jokester he was when he was a kitten.

I'm sure GiGi is a wonderful cat, even if she's lost her baby ways.

She's still the same behavior wise but I swear I blinked and my long legged tiny body kitty turned into a full fledged cat. I just always thought of her as the baby and she was always a kitten to me and now she's not. I think part of it is because of the 2 new babies they are so small they really show how big and grown up both her and hercules have become. I had both of them as kittens...come to think of it hercules will be turning 3 the day after thanksgiving.....all my babies are no longer babies anymore....

ah yes, comparisons will do that. It's all relative after all. I remember when Queen Eva first came Tolly and Mazy and Jennie just seemed so gigantic by contrast.

This happened VERY much so with Zi! He grew SO quickly. With Pria though we've been lucky. She is so tiny, and hasn't grown much at all, so it seems we're enjoying "kittenhood" longer than most.

Yeah, we're going through the same thing with Mollipop, too. It's like yesterday she was this tiny little baby and now, she's turned into a 9-pound cat! When did that happen? I wanted her to stay small for awhile, but that didn't happen. She's a beautiful full-grown cat.

Otto, when we first got Molli, the other kids seemed so large compared to her. But now? She has surpassed Amber, Bootser, and Whisper in weight and she's coming up fast on Ms. Pepe. I don't know when that happened. DH says that Molli is going to be one big kitty. You can keep trying to talk Eva into staying little.....but I don't think she's going to pay much attention to you!

That's why when I remember I tell everyone to take LOTS of pictures of their kittens - because that seemed to happen to us with all of them (except Flowerbelle who's still so little LOL). They grow up too fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HollyHeart turned 1 last month. I knew it was coming up soon.

And I didn't realize either just how big she'd gotten until the kids showed me pictures. And then she was standing next to Sneaky Pie and she's taller and longer than her. She was tiny when we got her in January.

Now if she could just stop some of the "kitten" behavior she's still showing. I don't mind the constant playing- it's just that she's still getting into things she doesn't need to. She found tiny beads under one of the beds- so I had to clean everything up. She took a baby spider plant I was trying to root out of the dirt. Threw it on the floor.

Spring is the little Spring here--literally. The last time he went to the vets--only to cruise along the top of the vets cabinets--he was weighed in at 6lbs. He is still an 11 yr old adult cat in a kitteh body--actually adult head and legs--kitteh body

Sweetpea, on the other hand, is a full grown adult cat that weighs in at 11lbs.

I'm sort of guessing that at about 6-9 months of age they become adults but what do I know

Ahh I've felt that way about all 3 of my kitties, especially Kojak since I had him from the time he was about a day old and literally got to watch him grow in front of me

Most recently I've really felt that way about my Australian Shepherd puppy, Ranger. Jack surprised me with him when Ranger was 8 weeks old and I've watched him grow from a tiny little thing into a now 60lb+ little monster (and he won't be full grown for several more months lol) I can't belive how big he's already become in just a few short months! Last week when I had a particurally bad case of pms, I looked at some old pictures of him as a tiny puppy and started crying when I realized how big he was now as an older puppy
(God help me if I ever have human children, I'll want to keep them small forever
)
