I haven't been around much this week, between school work and the animals I've had little time, but thought I'd share these pics I took in the week

Meow has settled in even more now, and has even started playing! Well.. she was playing with the velcro on the wire of dad's laptop charger, so he tied it onto a piece of string for her to play with.. and she loved it and was crazy for it!
So nice to see her playing at home, especially as at the allotment she would have been runnin round catching mice no doubt!

Anyway, some pictures - they're not amazing, but cute I think nevertheless

She's so cute! And how nice of your Dad to make her a personalized toy - she's found a lot of love in your home.

Well, she refuses to play with all the store bought toys bless her! She looks as them as if to say 'what on earth is THAT?' and walks away from them

Aww....I love those pictures, she is settling in! My favorite pics are the one where she is Tucked (some call that the loaf or meat loaf position) and the one where she is enjoying a scritch on her head.

I LOVE her!

Meow is beautiful! I love how serious she is about her playing. When I first adopted my boys, I bought them a ton of toys--they weren't interest in 90% of them. Now, a crumpled up piece of paper does the trick!

What a beautiful girl she is!! She's obviously thriving in your home and has both you wrapped around her paw. Must be a pretty special little girl if she gets personalized toys.
My kitties also always prefer the homemade toys to the store bought ones. Flexible straws, wads of paper, and catnip sewn into a little pouch are always big hits.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pic of her enjoying head scratches! Such a look of bliss on her face.

She probably thought the velcro bit was a leaf, which was probably the only thing (besides mice) that she had played with before. It makes the same noise as a dried leaf.

Many times cats who come in from being outdoors all their lives don't know how to play with "toys." They really are looking at them and thinking "What on earth is THAT?"

I'm sure glad that Meow has such thoughtful and understanding hoomans to make her "leaf" into a "toy" for her.

It is wonderful to see her playing! Shows that she is relaxed and feels safe enough to do something that would attract predators outdoors.

I was thinking that exact same thing. When we first brought Whisper into the house, she didn't know how to play. She spent the first two years of her life having one litter of kittens after another and, since she was such a great mom, she took care of, not only her kittens, but Bootser's, too. That girl didn't have time to play.

Once she came inside and had plenty of food and hugs and she knew that we'd help her take care of her last litter of kittens, she became a completely different cat. She'd rip and tear through the house and play with all the toys. She became a kitten again!

And that's what Meow is doing now....learning how to play. And she's learning quickly, too! Bless her heart. She's adorable!
