Okay, I figured I would start a new thread as the other one was kinda asking if she was pregnant. Now that we have confirmed that I started this one.

Chloe has not had them yet. I have had her locked in the bathroom 24/7 for the last two days. I have not noticed anymore discharge and she is still producing milk. I swore last night while petting her belly I felt something move..LOL. Cute and creepy all in one. I think she has soft poop and sometimes a normal poop. Shes eating today although not as much as she normally does.

Ugh, I hope these kittens hurry up already I wanna cuddle them

So, when shes delivering should she be watched? When do I need to assist the kittens?

I can't help with the delivery questions, but make sure you feed her good kitten food now and while she's nursing. It'll really help her stay healthy. Once the kittens start weaning, you can put her back on regular cat food.

So, Questions as I think of them

Will her water break like ours does or are cats different?

Also will she scream while having the kittens (not that I care but would rather know ahead of time so I dont wake up to it having a heart attack)?

When she's delivering, she may be ok with you watching, but if she seems nervous, it's probably best to leave her be. Most of the time cats know exactly what to do and require no help what so ever.
More often than not cats will deliver at night, so you may wake up one morning to find kittens nursing everything all done!

I highly doubt she will scream. I've fostered many pregnant cats and none ever made noises that I could hear other than meows. Each kitten will have their own sac, so as for "water breaking" it's not like a human's at all. Cats however do have a "mucus plug" which will discharge at the onset on labor. You might not notice that though because of lot of times cats will lick it away. You'll notice her licking that area a lot before/during labor. Good luck hun!

It's very important to be around when she's delivering to make sure each placenta is delivered, they can be retained which then causes infection, which can be deadly.
I would never leave a girl to go it alone overnight, can she stay in the bedroom with you?

She is your cat and not a foster? Then she should be fine with having you around. Also be ready with supplies to assist with cutting cords if needed.

Some girls do 'scream' I know a Burmese who makes it very clear she's in pain. I have one who meows very loudly but not a scream, all cats are different.

I stroke my girls which seems to help with their contractions, and talk to them gently.

I have no idea on humans water breaking, and often on cats all you'll feel is a wet behind but I have seen one cats water break while she was standing and it was like she was peeing, water just poured out of her.

I am in a loft type apartment so my bed is also in the same space as my tv and couches etc. So if I leave her out with me she can have them anywhere she wants. Thats why I chose the bathroom and asked if she would scream cause it would wake me up. But I can get up every 2-3 hours until she has them to check on her.

Sonja (the only pregnant cat I've ever had, and it was 10 years ago) did cry out when the last one popped through, but not with the other 3. I don't think most cats make a lot of noise while in labor. I did watch her give birth, but I didn't help or interfere in any way. She took care of things. However, Sonja had obviously given birth before (she was a trailer park stray), and this will be Chloe's first litter. So she might need more help, say, if she doesn't take the sac off the kittens right away or doesn't bite the cord or something like that.

She'll deliver the placenta a few minutes after each kitten, then eat it (ugh). I really couldn't see what Sonja was doing at that point, it just looked like she was licking a lot back there.

Some sources will say to remove the already-born kittens to another box while she's giving birth to the next one, but I tried that with Sonja's babies and she got very agitated, which can't be good in that situation. So I just left them in the birthing box and everything was fine.

Okay, so how long can I leave the sac and cord attached before I remove it and how do I remove it. She better eat the placentas cause I certainly wont eat them

When Gabby delivered she had them in the afternoon and screamed for first 2 the last glided out few hours later...and was the biggest go figure.

The experience I have had with 2(5 and 3 kittens) delivering moms is the sacs leak as kitten is close to being delivered. When they were born the one mom took care of everything the other left them in sacs and happily ate the afterbirth after I removed it/it was still attached to her and never saw the rest...She did cut the cords tho

Shes VERY pretty! You may want to look into getting her spayed as if you plan to use a low cost program some have a waiting list to get on/start of the new year may have more money available.

If any are slow to breathe RUB them alot Gabbys kittens all came out a bit slow and one not breathing at all and she showed to attempts to clean them(was busy cleaning herself) not sure what the outcome would have been but all 3 made it

Also you can google pregnancy cat chart and it shows day of mating/day of delivery...have found it to be quite helpful if you have a general idea of days she could have mated(which you do

She still hasnt had them. Shes super super affectionate and tries to dart out of the bathroom when I open the door. Shes still eating etc. She would be 66 days along right now if she bred the last day she was out. Ugh, why cant they just come, I can feel them moving around. I dabbed a kleenix on her female bit and there was a tiny tinge of brown to it. Not loads came out.
