I'm not but I was just reading about their economy's issues today! Seems like a big crisis is expected

I`m in England but I did go on holiday to southern Ireland. I would reccommend a visit!
The pace of life seemed a lot slower and the people were all really friendly. Also spirit measures in the pubs were triple during the week!
It did rain every day but they were showers with sun in between. My sister lives on Orkney and the weather is similar in that it can change really quickly.

I am from Kentucky our weather changes at a moment's notice and just rolling hills of green dad thinks that's why alot of Irish people settled here. I have always wanted to go just got to figure out how when I am affraid of flying and funny enough I am terrified of riding on esculators and not a fan of boats either unless I am on a lake, had nightmares about a shark coming to Kentucky to get me.

We have family there and visited a couple of years ago. It is BEAUTIFUL there, and the people are great! If I had gone to Ireland from Texas, I would have been completely awed by the landscape, but it's SO beautiful here too that it wasn't a big change. It was super-expensive when we went (London was, too); everything was at least double what you pay here (and it's expensive here).

The only thing that was cheap was wine; you can get a bottle of fantastic wine there for about $7-8 CDN (or USD). Our relatives poured wine at lunch and dinner, inbetween we drank hot tea, nobody ever drank water that I could see, lol!

Maybe other prices there are more reasonable now.

There used to be a member here from Ireland who rescued several feral cats and tamed them down. Haven't seen her on here in a long time.
