Hi everyone, you may remember my post about my cat who has some kind of allergy. He has been doing good but all of a sudden his itching has started up again and he has a scab on his neck, last winter he would get numerous scabs on his neck. I'm thinking he must have an inhaled allergy to something that flares up once our house is closed up for winter, we got our air ducts cleanedn and brought an air purifier but that hasn't seemed to help. Then I remembered someone on this board said cats can itch because of dry skin so maybe it's not an inhaled allergy maybe it's because of our dry house. It's so hard to know what to do because if his itching is just due to dryness a humidifer would help but if he has an allergy to somthing like dust mites a humidifer would make it worse. Do you know if he would get scabs on his neck an chest if it was onlu the dry air making him itch? Thank you so much for your help!

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

My cat had the same issue about a month ago, numerous scabs along his neck and he would just itch itch and itch. I examined him to make sure there wasn't any flea dust or any prescence of fleas and didn't see anything. I finally broke down and took him to the vet. The vet said it was milinary dermititis and gave him an injection of some sort. He said the scabs and itching would go away within a week and sure enough, it's been a month now and all is well.

My cats all start scratching more often this time of year. Only Elliott gets the occasional scab, but he has pretty sensitive skin. I know how they feel though, I get the winter dry skin too!

We have humidifiers running, and that helps me and the cats with the itchy skin problem!
Thanks everyone for your help!!! The food he is eaiting (wellness complete health) has Omega 3's in it so that should help his skin. I really hope his itching doesn't get any worse, I would hate to put him back on pred. I will keep you guys updated and I hope all of your cats are doing well
