Samara doesn't seem to particular on what wet foods she eats. This week i got her a large variety of foods she has already has eatten but is it ok to offer her evo one day and california natural the next? will it upset her tummy(like when you switch dry foods too fast)?

I'm far from an expert on this and I'm sure someone else with more experience will chime in, but I think you would be fine.

I rotate 3 different flavors of wet food for my cat, the ones I know she likes after much testing.. and I usually do one flavor one day, then another the next, and so on.

Seems to work out good. I figure cats could be like us and wouldn't always want to have the exact same flavors every single day, so variety is good.

I'm no expert either but.....my cats were on Wellness Turkey wet for about 2 years when Cameo just wouldn't touch it anymore. That was about 2 months ago. He simply refused to eat it. So, I went out and bought a variety of good and medium quality wet food. He's eaten everyone, but one. So, I'll simply continue to buy a variety for him. It hasn't seemed to bother him, no upchucks, no diarreah, no anything!!! My other cat doesn't really like wet food and eats the dry. It seems when he does eat wet, he upchucks. So why force him??

Hope that helps!!

thank you. she hasbeen pretty good about eating everything (although we've discovered that california natural apparently isn't her cup of tea). so we have evo, natural life, and innova. i got a couple cups of wet meow mix since she eats a little more than a can of food I figured they'd be a nice evening snack.

with canned you can rotate usually very easily thru flavors and brand... Most who feed at least some canned use many brands unless the kitty is Very Picky

Feeding a couple of different brands can actually be a good idea, because sometimes a brand becomes temporarily unavailable due to inclement weather, a recall, changes in a store's assortment, etc.. A cat that has to eat prescription cat food for a medical condition, whether for a short period of time or permanently, is more likely to accept it if used to eating various kinds of food.

What's the lot numbers on it?

My gang won't eat the new batch of wellness turkey either.

They must have gone with inferior ingredients this time. I'm bringing it back, Wellness needs to know that cats are not fooled and won't eat crap. I'm not paying $1.10 a 3 oz can for inferior food.

As to the original question, I was just asking something similar a few days back. Mazy and Queen Eva eat a variety at every meal. It doens't seem to be bothering them.

My cats get a different flavor and brand every other day. I stick to chicken, lamb, beef, venison and stay away from all fish-based foods. Besides they don't like the salmon very much and really don't like turkey too much.

I'm feeding Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Max Cat, Natural Balance, Iams (canned lamb only), Merrick and BG (before grain).

They also are on BG dry now.

To clarify - they get canned every day, but the 6 oz can lasts 2 meals
