Sybil's off to the vets this morning for her spay.

I know it's silly to worry about something so routine especially considering some of the kitty surgeries we've gone through over the past few years, but if anyone could spare some vibes for my crazy little tasmanian-devil-cat, I'd appreciate it. (and I'm sure she would too)

I'd be concerned if you weren't a bit anxious and worried about it. I think that's normal. Hope all goes well!! Keep us posted!

Thanks for all the good vibes, everyone.

DH just talked to the vet and Sybil's awake and doing well - just a little groggy still. He'll be going to get her later this afternoon.

On a cute note, Freya's been looking for her all afternoon. Just wandering around, checkig all the spots she's usually in and giving a chirp. I think my grumpy little girl likes Sybil more than she'll ever admit.

Funny enough, she did the same the first time Cotton was gone for a day surgery too.

I know exactly what you are going through...Sophie was spayed on Wednesday and I worried all day. the other cats roamed around looking for her...she was so happy to be home..head butting everyone, especially the dogs...then curled up on my lap and slept...needless to say I didnt do anything the rest of that day or yesterday..just cuddled my babygurl..*L

Thanks for the update! Tolly goes frantic whenever I leave with a cat in the carrier, and don't come back with the cat. Ever since he lost his Bibbs, he does this. I hate to come home because of this, if I have to leave a cat at the vet, but of course want to be available by phone if they need me.

She's being pretty quiet for her.
She came and wandered around with me when I first came home, but then she went and curled up on the spare bed and is still snoozing. I check on her every once in awhile and it looks like she's just sleeping off the anasethesia. We're allowed to give her a bit of food and water in another hour or so, so I'll check then to see if she's hungry.

It's so weird to have her quiet and sleepy. I've only had to stop her from running once...

She's doing good today. Still pretty quiet and not running and jumping (which is good) but she has her entire appetite back and is following us around the house or dozing on the cat tree.
Her incision looks good - not at all red, although I don't think she's used to having her belly exposed. She keeps stretching out, then stopping to look at her belly.

It probably hurts a little when she stretches out, that's why she looks at it. The pain doesn't last long for them though. Glad to know she is doing so well.
