Aghh Poop!

Okk, So we get scout "Kitten" In about august, We have had Ashes "Old cat" for a while, Ashes has started pooping on the carpet, Everyday I come home from school and theres poop >.< We have 2 litterboxes on the top floor and one on the bottom, We havent stopped cleaning it, Scout goes but Ashes doesnt use it. Help!

More information is needed:

Type of litter, what constitutes as "cleaning" (some people think scooping or changing litter every couple of days is enough...).
How do the stools that Ashes leaves on the carpet look? Firm, normal, soft? How old is Ashes?

Before introducing Scout did you make sure the kitten was fully vet checked and dewormed? Roundworms can take two doses of dewormer to get rid of. Skipping this would result in Ashes getting roundworms.

And have you taken Ashes to the vet, yet? Lots of health issues can cause a cat to poop outside of the litter box.

The litter is wholecare pet litter.
We clean it everyday - every other day
Sometimes his poop is sort of runny, But it is mostly firm.
Ashes is 7
Yes, We took him to the vet before we introduced him,
And yes, Ashes has been to the vet and still goes

Start scooping twice a day. Get Ashes back to the vet soon. Tomorrow or Monday, if possible. Stools shouldn't keep changing consistency like that. There could be an underlying problem that is making it uncomfortable for Ashes to poop and that can make cats avoid the litter box.

Ashes is also technically in the senior kitty category now. He really should have current blood work done. Usually it's called a senior blood panel, but if your vet doesn't know it by that name you can ask for liver, kidneys, and thyroid to be tested. Doing this preventative blood work can help catch serious illness early.
Depending on how Ashes checks out at the vet, and ask how Scout was dewormed (if from the same vet), you might want to deworm them both. Sometimes worms can cause inconsistent stools and make cats go outside the box.

The wholecare pet litter is a store brand for stores we don't have around here, so I'm not really familiar with it. It could be that you need to change litters if nothing else can be found to be causing this.
Try to get some feliway diffusers for the house in case Scout is stressing Ashes. You can find them at pet supply stores or if you can order online - cheaper online. You'll need more than one if you live in a house or apartment larger than 400-600sqft. Plug them in near where Ashes has been going on the floor, not near the litter boxes.
