So lately my 4 month old kitten has been meowing a wholee lot at night. She used to meow of excitement but now it just sounds like she's hurting? Its a combination high&low pitch weird panicky sounding meows. She doesn't seem in pain since she's jumping&running around playfully while purring, eating right, doing her buiness regularly.

I Also found a tooth (looks like back teeth) however I brush her teeth every two days. I tried looking into her mouth and see if anything abnormal is visibal but I can't seem to see anything.

I'm thinking she might be teething, but the info surrounding teething and when they start and stop seem to be pretty vague.
Could someone give me some insight on teething and is her behaviour normal?

Is she spayed? She may be in heat. As for the tooth, just like children they loose teeth and are replaced by adult teeth.

If she is in heat, be very careful to keep intact males away. Talk to your vet.

Sounds like she's in heat. Get her spayed ASAP. It is possible to have a kitty spayed while in heat, but it's sometimes more expensive. Call and talk to the vet.

She has been operated about two months ago. However I can see her belly getting ''pouchy'' kind of like a sac where she has been spayed. My sister's cat had the same kind of hagning belly so I figure its normal?

My vet is on vacation for the next two weeks so I'm relying on these forums

Thanks for the reply!!

If it were me, I'd be looking for another vet or calling my vet's office to find out who's seeing his patients. It definitely could be something more serious than her being in heat, but that's a good starting point. Definitely call the vet.
