Clear plastic table covers

Could those be toxic to cats? I dunno...I'm becoming a bit paranoid as far as keeping a safe environment for my little guys!

Well... if your cats eat any plastic it can potentially kill them. Not from toxicity, but because of a bowel obstruction.

What were your concerns with the covers? Did they have a strong smell when you opened up the package? If so, you might want to hang them outside (not in the sun) for a little bit and let them air out. If they're sturdy enough you can also put them in the washing machine on gentle and cold - then line dry them.

I have never heard of a cat eating this type of plastic, though I do have an email from a frazzled owner whose cat ate the shower curtain liner (not all of it of course!) If you have more than one cat, you might find this cover to be a popular potty spot. They respond to these types of strong scents by "covering" the smell with their own.

Me either, but there's always an odd cat somewhere that will...

I have one that will pick up anything she can fit in her mouth and run off with it, doesn't matter what it's made of. And of course the whole time I'm trying desperately to catch her (because she tries to eat some things) and she's yowling.

I fully expect that...the very reason I decided to pick that plastic covering was due to Mr Sasha's CRF issues and his peeing on the bedroom floor...at least it should make cleanup easier (hopefully) and I won't get grief from the landlord...
