Question about Health Extension dry cat food

Hello All,

Has anyone used Health Extensions dry cat food for there kitten? If so, how do you feel it worked out for your kitten/cat?

I am asking due to the fact I will be getting a foster kitten that has been fed that for about four months or so. Hence I am going to be feeding it to him for now. But if you all have found this to be a good food, I will not consider transitioning him to the diet I feed my cats listen below.

I feed my personal cats as follows: Eukanuba dry food, Iams dry food and Purina One dry food. Then one time a day I feed Iams proactive wet food (one spoon full a day) mixed with any of the above dry foods.

Thank you all for reading and responding .

***Also if you do NOT like feeding your cats dry food please do not post reason why wet food is better then dry food***

Looks Very Very solid... I like the higher protein and the chicken, chicken meal being first and second... It has br rice which is not a fave but it decent ( not as digestable) Oats are wonderful for digestion ...

Imho better than what you are feeding( please do not take offense)...

One Glaring issue It contains garlic( look up heinz anemia)

Hi Sharky,

I thank you for your opinion and your help. I am guessing you do not feed this to your cats however. I agree it looks great on the package. I was just hoping someone on here might have actually feed it to there cats.

If my cats do like it, I will add it into there rotation . Since there least favorite is the Iams dry food (most days anyway ) I would have no problem giving them some of that food in a dish .

I am most certainly not offended. I am a licensed veterinarian technician, and have worked with and around vets, and cat people like you all. I have learned everyone has a an opinion.

The diet I feed seems to keep everyone happy, healthy and using the litter box . So I am thrilled .

No, I have not feed my cats this but I have feed a dog food by this maker.. did okay but the store stopped carrying the brand

If it were me I would ask the company what form the garlic is , If I am reading it right it appears to be in a mixture of drops...

Did a quick search and looked at those.

I've never heard of this food before, but it appears to be something that I wouldn't hesitate to feed to my kitties.

Hi Sharky,

Thank you again. I feel good knowing it looks good on paper and you used to feed the " dog version" to your dog. I am sorry that you could not get it for your own dog anymore though .

I will call the company and find out about the garlic. Do you want me to tell you my "findings" ?

Hi Etiqueta

Thank you very much for the articles. That looks like a very good food to feed a cat. Now maybe my own personal cat's will eat it :nod? But who know with them .

Thank you both.
