Since it would seem that Feliway isn't available this side of the border I use Pet-ease by Nutri-Vet (both the plug-in and the spray). It does smell very relaxing (even to me) but Sasha still seems rather crabby towards Tiggy.
Now keep in mind that in spite of being diagnosed with early CRF, Sasha doesn't seem to be in any pain and the second Vet I saw (the good one
) sugested that senility and stress may have more to do with Sasha's urinating outide the box (he poops in it though) than the CRF.
Crazy thought: could spraying the litter boxes with the Pet-Ease spray convey a sense of calm to Sasha (as well as making the boxes smell nicer) and lure him into peeing in the litter box again?
I'm just wondering whether or not Pet-Ease is as effective as Feliway: the way I understand it Feliway uses feline pheromones whereas Pet-Ease uses herbal extracts that simulate feline pheromones...
I see Feliway is available on Ebay...let's see if I get lucky!
