Jennie has never been finicky, happily eats whatever is put in front of her, until lately. One day, when the others were getting their snack of kibble and she was getting her usual watery meal, she said she didn't want her watery meal, she wanted kibble.

Jennie can't have much kibble, she has trouble with constipation any time her diet is varied by much.

But that one time I took pity on her and dropped a few pieces of kibble into her dish with the meal and she happily ate it all up.

Well, that was all it took for Jennie to think she should have kibble dropped in EVERY meal. I soon realized though that 1) too much kibble was going to make her gain even more weight and 2)the extra kibble will complicate her stubborn bowels.

However, we've reached a happy medium. I only have to drop ONE kibble into her dish, and this satisfies her.

But she waits for that one kibble. Doesn't matter how hungry she is, she waits for that one kibble before she will eat.

Jennie,, the most non finicky cat I've ever had, has found a way to be finicky.

yep - she's training you, okay - she's working up to two in the dish, and ...

kibble works the other way with our kitties - if I think they are constipated I give kibble (? -- go figure!)
