That would be the best Mom in the world, mine. She is in a beautiful assisted living place on the PA side of the Delaware River right across the river from the part of NY where her sister and other family live.

Mom doesn't have Alzheimers but she doesn't see or hear very well. I sent her chocolate for Mother's day. She loved it! Her sister, my favorite Aunt Lotty, said that she shouldn't have chocolate because of old age diabetees . What are the chocolates going to do? Shorten her life? Let her eat them, for goodness sakes.

Ah, Rosemary! Ah bie gehzunt! As the old Yiddish saying goes, she should live to be a hundred and twenty! MY mom is 86... and a half. Frail and hard of hearing. And still in her own home because her kids (me in particular) have made that happen.
