Prescription Food online for cheaper?

We purchased Royal Canin rabbit wet food today.

$50/24 cans.

At 2 kittens, this would be $100+ a month.

Anyone suggestions?

We have tried to feed them separately and it has not been successful. The rabbit food is scripted for one kitty but the other kitty won't eat without the other.

Ideas?

You can look on line. My vet is cheaper for prescription foods than any place I've ever seen on line, especially when you add in shipping costs.

One word of warning, do not buy prescription food on line from any store that tells you you do not need a prescription for it. You don't know what you are getting, in that case.

Any legitimate retailer will sell prescription food ONLY with a prescription from your vet.

Let us know if you find a good source.

The pharmacy I have bought from online before only sells medication but it was a great experience but... no food option.

Petfooddirect sells the RC, but it is 52.39 for a case, and their shipping is outrageous.

This site: http://rxpetfood.com/royalcaninivdfe...455ozcans.aspx sells it for $47.77 a case, but I have never used them, and do not know what they charge for shipping:

this site:http://www.nationalpetpharmacy.com/P...anned-Cat-Food also sells it for $52.39 but they do have an autoship option which would save you 10%, but the shipping is around $10, so you'd still not be saving. I buy food (non- prescription) from National Pet Pharmacy, I like them.

So except for that one place, which I don't know anything about, you are still better off buying from the vet.
