Pria will eat ANYTHING!

Seriously. We have yet to find something Pria won't inhale. The other day Dana was having a Subway Spicey Italian Sub and Pria was in his face. He gave her a piece of lettuce covered in Southwest sauce thinking that would deter her... Nope, she hoovered it.

I was just eatting a fruit cup. Pria ate:

1) A blueberry
2) Cantalope
3) Honey Dew Melon

I have never had a cat who would eat ANYTHING before!

I'm having the same problem with Lilly. Her favorite thing lately is bread.. I've never had a cat interested in bread before. She will literally do anything to get a piece.. oh and the other day I woke up to a 12lb bag of Wellness Core drug through the house and the bag chewed on. It was brand new and full we hadn't opened it up yet. When I say chewed on, I mean there were hundreds of kitten teeth holes in it! Crazy... LOL

Too funny!

Pria's FAVORITE thing is my morning yogurt. She is literally obsessed and has a one track mind when I eat my morning yogurt. I have to share...even though it drives Dana nuts because he says I spoil her. Well DUH!

I think Squeaky ate lots of people food wherever it was that she spent her first few years of life, because she not only eats ANYTHING, she begs for whatever I am eating!

Yeah, see that's the issue. We can't eat anything without her begging. I have a hard time denying her anything though... That face! She has me so wrapped around her precious, furry lil paws...

Hmmmm...maybe it's a "pink and grey" thing? Or maybe they are related?

My pink kitty (who's birthday is this month) is the same way, raw veggies, fruits, whatever it edible she will be eating. She rarely begs because we never feed the pets from our plates while we are eating but she sure does steal every. single. opportunity. possible.

Nuts, my grey baby will eat anything. I have yet to find anything he won't inhale. I say he eats now and tastes it later. He loves sour cream, which he gets after I finish my potato skins or taquitos and he loves to lick my plate after I have cheese ravioli.

Maybe it is a 'pink and grey' thing.

We used to be able to leave human food out on a table unsupervised for short periods of time. Billy won't eat ANYTHING (doesn't like veggies and fruit) - but we left really spicy Korean soup out on the table for a couple of minutes, and found him eating it! The amazing thing was I kept watching for the diarrhea .... it never came.

He used to always be in our face when we were eating... after the first few weeks, we got strict about giving him human food, because we wanted to be able to eat in peace. It is really hard not to share - but he did finally learn he's not getting anything.

Luna is the exact same way! She eats everything and anything in sight! We have to constantly watch her. She walks around lapping the floor! Her first night here, she refused all forms of kitten food, the moment we brought McDonald's in she raced right for the chicken nuggets. We had told this to the vet the next day, and considering where she lived before, the vet thought she probably only ever ate McDonald's. Took us the weekend but we finally got her to eat kitten food. She's gotten better with people food, but we still have to lock her away when we eat.

Also she used to rush to the other cats food dishes and steal from their dishes. Midnight was 3 weeks old when we got him. She jumped up on to the chair where we used to feed him. She pushed him off the chair with 1 swat of her paw, and just devoured his food in under 10 seconds. Midnight just sat on the floor looking up at her with a stunned look on his face. That was the last time we fed them together when he was that little. Now they eat out of each others bowls and it doesn't seem to bother them.

Luna also has a very bad habit of eating things that will hurt her. She came into my parents bedroom with a sewing needle in her mouth. We almost died. She ran under the bed with it, we couldn't reach her, and she wouldn't drop it. We don't yell at her. Luna can't take being yelled at because of where she lived before us. Believe me we all yelled at her in hopes she would be scared enough to drop the needle. She wasn't. My father finally got 1 of my old crutches (i had sprained an ankle a while ago and needed them to get around) and nudged her out to my mother. My mother pulled the needle out of her mouth. We checked her out, she wasn't cut or bleeding, we got to her in time. But we scared her so much that she just shook in my father's arms. She didn't even know why we were yelling, she didn't even know why we took away her "brand new shiny toy". We still don't know where she found that.

Lynxx used to eat everything when he was a kitten, he stopped doing that by the time he was a year old. He used to walk around with his tongue dragging on the floor looking for things. He used to eat everything in sight except his medicine of course! But he was never as bad as Luna!

Midnight will chew on the rug, but he's not as bad as Luna. Autumn only ever eats her kitten food, she didn't have time to eat everything in sight, she's to busy playing!

LOL! Love that! Hannah the Hoover!

Our Rainbow Banshee ate everything. She loved breakfast cereal and DH would always have to share his cereal with her. He eats cereal at night for his snack and, she would be back in bed with me. As soon as she heard that cabinet door in the kitchen open, she'd fly off the bed and steam roll through the hallway. She'd go around the corner so fast her little butt would skid on the kitchen floor. And DH's banana...we never knew a cat who would chow down on a banana the way she did. She loved cantaloupe....she could be back in bed sleeping and, til I had the cantaloupe cut in half, she'd be at my feet in the kitchen screaming for cantaloupe. Also mangoes....boy, could she eat mango! She and I would sit at the kitchen table and I'd slice the mango, while she'd paw at me for her share. (To this day, I cannot open a cantaloupe or slice a mango without thinking of that girl. And DH still thinks of her whenever he gets cereal out of the cabinet. In fact, I think it took about three months for DH to even think about cereal after Banshee passed.)

And lord help us, if I roasted chicken or turkey! As soon as the smell would start drifting through the house, that girl would park her butt in front of the oven, waiting for that bird to come out. And the whole time DH was carving the bird, Banshee would be pacing and crying.

She loved, loved, loved tuna. Well, all the furkids eat people tuna. I learned a long time ago to open an extra can of tuna specifically for the cats. I'd split the can into six portions and they gobble it up. Even Mollipop likes tuna.

There were a lot of other foods that Banshee loved. I talked with her vet about it and she said that, as long as she was happy and healthy and still eating her regular cat food, people food as treats was fine for her.

Enjoy Pria's little food antics, Kailie.

A few times I woke up to strange sounds and figured they were just playing with something....yea, they had got the bread off the counter and were tearing through the bag. I would have never guessed cats like bread!

I give them tastes off my plate pretty regularly but only recently realized the little monsters I've created. When the fiance and I try to have a romantic dinner it's usually interrupted with a cat wondering where their share is. And I was downright embarrassed that one of my cats worked the room when we had guests over begging for food.

So starting tomorrow, no more food off our plates no matter how much they beg or do THE look....oh boy
