I am preparing to trap the two mothers. They are more wild then the males that I have found placement for after they are fixed. I called 10 shelter in NJ - two posted on the web that they take ferals - and none want them. Help!
http://www.aplnj.org/Companion-Animals.php I found this link, perhaps it will help. Anyway you can take them in and socialize them to make them more adoptable? I would be happy to help you via email or phone if this is possible.
I can't take them in. I travel a lot for work. Limited space and three of my own - one is the sister of one of the feral mothers. I took Princess in about a year ago and she's an angel. My two male cats took quite a while to get used to her but that's another store. The nine-year-old male loves her now, they are constant companions.
Having rescued in Northern NJ for nine years, I have to say no.
Pregnant feral moms, yes. Feral kittens, yes. Even older feral kittens. But not adult ferals that will require a lot of work when it comes to socialization.
