RIP Lil Man

My grandma and I had to make a tough decision today.

My mom is out of state, and her cat Lil Man had a broken leg, we thought.

We took him to the vet this morning.

Turns out he had 5 tumors in his back legs. The only alternative was to amputate both back legs. He had up to a dozen small tumors in his back and stomach.

We decided to let him go..

He turned 10 this year..

He didn't go alone, but the hardest part was that she couldn't be here.

That must have been a shock, and it's going to be very tough on your mother. , Lil Man.

Oh I'm so sorry. I feel so badly for your mother, but you of course did the right thing for him.

AAAWWWW... I was told once, You have to love them unconditionally to have them in your life and care for them, But... you have to love them even more to let them go when it is time.

I have only had to have my Ferret, BoodahFrit put down. It wasn't my decision, he was in the care of a woman who loved him very dearly. I wasn't able to give him the care he needed at that stage in my life.

I am so sorry for you and your mom, and your family. I am so happy that you all loved him enough to let him go so that he didn't suffer.

I am soooooo sorry for your loss.

Aw so sorry to hear about Lil Man. He was obviously loved very, very much. He was surrouned with his family at the end.

RIP sweet boy. You are loved and missed.

How fortunate your mother is, as daughter to a wise woman and mother of a loving daughter who were both able to make that wrenching decision when she was not there to make it herself. It is a choice that was both merciful and compassionate - and is always so difficult, and sad. You did well to send Lil Man over the Rainbow Bridge free of his suffering.

Yes, you absolutely did the best thing for him. It was very brave of you. What a strong woman you are. Your mom must be very proud of you.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your kitty.
