Thank you so much everyone!

Queen Eva seemed to be feeling much better this morning, judging by her energy level! That's what I missed the night before and yesterday morning, and how I knew something was wrong, in addition to her flopping down so much.

She was so lively this morning that I did worry she would make things worse, but how do you tell a kitten to slow down? I left her curled up on her desk-bed and was gone all day so I hope she rested some. She is, tonight, still lying down more than normal, but I am just getting home. There will be no interactive Games again tonight, to encourage some more resting.

Instead of playing any Games last night, I got on the couch with my book early, and encouraged my live fur blanket to join me. Mazy, Tolly and Queen Eva obliged.

Jennie missed out because she was too busy counter surfing and by the time she made it over to the couch there was only one place left for her. She did not want to settle for the bottom of my legs (perhaps my calves are too bony haha) so she perched near by.

Live fur blanket

Jennie the pouter (I told her that's what she gets for counter surfing)

PS I fell asleep this way and woke myself up an hour or so later, from wall shaking snoring(
I always do that when I fall asleep on my back on the couch, wake myself up from snoring I mean), and no one was left but Queen Eva.

Good thing you're not claustrophobic!!

I love my furbabies, but cannot stand it for long if they are lying on my lower legs.

I'm glad Eva seems to be feeling a bit better. Great news to hear!

And super cute 'live fur' blanket you've got there! Too bad Jenny was pouting.

I'm actually severely claustrophobic. But cats on top of me is one of my greatest pleasures, and I know THEY love it, so I am willing to suffer much discomfort to accommodate them.

Thanks Erica!

update:

We did not have Games again last night, and after playing around on her own a little, Queen Eva was content to curl up in bed with me. I had a bad night though, so I don't think anyone got much sleep, except possibly Mazy who never tries to sleep ON me at night.

This morning Queen Eva is at her normal activity level.

I took this shot last night, when she took time out of her busy evening to come and say hello to me

I notice she's got a little bit of Puff Cheek going in that picture, gives her an exotic look.

Queen Eva greeted me at the door this evening!

It's the first time since her injury that she has, I'm so happy!

Thanks. Yeah that puff cheeks look kills me. I don't think she likes me calling her that though.

Hooray!! Glad she's feeling well enough to be the greeting committee! It's so sweet to be welcomed home by a waiting kitty.

Oh, so glad she is feeling better - what a beautiful girl! And nothing better than a cat sleeping on your chest

Anyway, keep us posted on her recovery. We'll be anxious about her!
I meant to answer this before. It is a possibility that's what happened. Since I didn't see it I'll never know, but I do always worry she will over shoot when jumping up to that half wall that goes around the stairs.

Thanks again everyone we played Games last night but I was still too nervous to encourage any jumping.

Hurray that Queen Eva is better!! She is gorgeous!
I love the fur blanket picture - my cats don't lie ON me, but they do snuggle up against my legs. Love the picture of just you and the Queen.

for continued recovery!

I only just saw this thread now! Oh, I'm so glad Queen Eva is OK. It sounds like she's on track to be itty bitty like Holland, who was 5 months old and 4 pounds when I adopted her. At her last vet visit she was at 7 pounds, and I wouldn't be surprised if she's gained another half pound since then, which is what her vet wanted.
