And it's not even Thanksgiving yet. Evidently Santa is coming to a local mall on November 20.....Thanksgiving is November 25. Talk about rushing the holiday!

Don't get me wrong; I love Christmas. But good grief. I'm waiting for Santa to start arriving before Halloween!

I was so sad to see the trees up at kmart just as they broke out the halloween costumes...Its to soon for me. Can't enjoy/celebrate one holiday before the stores compete. They had christmas music playing yesterday at the mall. I avoid stores/malls except petsmart, shoprite and thrift stores

Any time my husband and I see anything Christmas-related, and it's not in December, we tell each other "Merry Christmas" and give each other a quick kiss. We each get lots of extra kisses that way, sometimes even in the summer if we walk by a house that still has a string of lights up, lol!

If we see a Santa decoration at a garage sale in June, there we go. Being in Costco or Michael's in October and November makes for a very active kissing time for us.

At least they've held off till after Halloween.

A lot of the supermarkets here have had Lebkuchen (gingerbread) and chocolate Santas on the shelves since late August/early September and Christmas decorations on sale since mid-October.

I always shop early as far as Christmas things go because I typically make the majority of the gifts that I give my family members.
(Worked as a florist/designer for ages) I already have a tub full of goodies sitting in my dining room floor that is just waiting to be designed! I bought that about two weeks ago when my niece Kianna and I raided Hobby Lobby
I definitely respect people wanting seperation and enjoyment for each holiday, but for me I can still enjoy the individual holidays while also preparing homemade gifts for the bigger ones

I don't think everything needs to be rushed through the holidays (I definitely enjoy Halloween/Thanksgiving time!) but I can also see some people wanting to have Christmas cards with Santa made early if they're putting together packages that will go out to the troops or overseas

Nope, too early for me too.

I posted twice in the Xmas Card Exchange thread for people not to expect any cards from me before December. I simply will not do it!!

I love the decorations and all that, the lights the city puts up and whatnot, i do, I really like it. But not yet!!
Too much! Too soon!

I love Christmas very much but I'm sure it starts earlier every year, haven't bought one thin yet, we have far too much to pay out before even thinking about it

Hiding from my SS!
The last time I went to visit my family in Atlanta was the end of July. A friend of mine and I went into Hobby Lobby and they had all the Christmas stuff up already. One holiday at a time for me, please! I do some craft stuff off season, but I always buy what I need on the after holiday clearances.

I was excited at Wal-Mart (eegjghdfjgkfg) today, because they were replacing the Halloween stuff with Xmas stuff while I was there, and had a whole Xmas area set up. I almost bought my new Xmas tree

But the fact I was doing SS shopping fueled my Xmas happiness.

Hooray for the holidays
I would love to have all my holiday shopping done. My goal is to get it done before December.

I usually complain about the stores putting out their Christmas stuff too early. Now that I have SS on my mind, it's a different story.

I just checked my local malls web site... santa is comming NOVEMBER 5th! No, that is not a typo. I LOVE LOVE LOVE xmas, and the holiday season and all the decorations... but even I think that is a bit excessive.

I've been seeing the commercial for "Branson" for a few weeks now. I noticed a couple others on now too.

This year I am SUPER DUPER SUUUUPER DOOOOPER excited for Christmas!!!!!! I mean -ready to decorate NOW- excited!
I keep taking the baby by all the Christmas displays we see. She LOVED the big blow up stuff out at Lowes this weekend.

I've written out some new decorating plans. Last year was our first Christmas in our house; but I'd just been put on maternity leave by my doc the week before and was working like crazy prior to that. I had zero energy/motivation to decorate. If I had; my ankles would have been the size of watermellons.

I also made a spreadsheet to figure out what I'd like to get the baby for Christmas and her birthday (since it's just a few days into the new year!). Hopefully that will help me not go too crazy.

The thing that makes me not want it to come is that I don't want my baby to turn 1 already!!!

Oh, and I worked for Hallmark while I was in college. Christmas comes in the middle of summer there.
To be immediately replaced by Valentines day. Another nutty season in the world of greeting cards and gifts.
