Help Don't want to go on this date tonight!

I have 45 minutes before I am supposed to meet a guy for a date. In the meantime I really got involved with Greg and last night we decided to be monogamous. I don't have this guys number because we were IMinng Instant messaging each other. Should I stand him up? I have been stood up from on-line dates.

Being stood up sucks. Maybe go to where you are supposed to meet and explain what happend. Or at least send him an offline message if you can't catch him online. Never plan a date without a phone number!

I wouldnt stand him up, because that just sucks! And it will make you seem rude! Instead why not go, and explain to him what happened and then if you want go grab a coffee or something or just say good night.
I think thats the more polite thing to do.

I agree, don't stand him up that is just uncalled for rudeness.

Go, apologize - buy him a cup of coffee and then leave on nice terms.

Glad things are fine. Made me think of the time I declined to meet a guy for a scheduled date because of ringworm. I really didn't want to go anyway, but thank God for the ringworm! It was right on my breastbone too! WOO! Easy peasy

I'm glad you didn't stand him up. You never know, he might be in the running again if things don't work out with your new boyfriend. Hope you find a really nice guy.

My motto is 'do unto others'

I know I wouldn't want to waste my time going somewhere to meet something and then have them not show up.

The decent thing is to go and talk to the guy in person.
