Hi all
.

I am not sure what to say or how to start. But I am the proud owner of four cats. They range in age from fourteen years old to just five months old. I
them all very much. But they all have different personalities. If anyone has any questions just let me know.

Hi xocats,

Thank you for the warm welcome
.

My cats names are: Momma cat due to the fact she had over 30 babies before I could get her spayed. She is about fourteen years old, Shadow who five years old and follows me around and Momma cats daughter, Panda who is almost a year old and is a black and white long hair. She is also a calm and sweet cat. Lastly is my five mouth old black semi long haired kitten named Cinder. He is a crazy boy.

As far as posting photo's I will post some tonight or tomorrow. My question is if I want to post them do I hit the insert image button and then put in the URL from the other site that hosts my photo's? Or can I only post picture's with insert hyperlink? I am sorry but this forum looks different from the other ones I post on routinely.

I am going to PM you a question already
, I am sure your just thrilled you offered that service
.

I feel like it is home already
.

Thank you very much. Is there anything else you or anyone else wants to know just ask
.

Thank you for saving Momma from producing more unwanted kittens.

Don't be concerned about asking for help.
When I first joined, I had to be helped with almost everything.
I had a very patient mentor.

I am going to send a PM that should clarify how to post your photos.

Hi Xocats,

Thank you for the compliments on the names of my kitties. I am not sure they are that good but thank you very much.

All of my cats are always spayed or neutered. The first reason is the world already has plenty of homeless cats already. Second I am a vet tech so it is like programed in me to get them spayed or neutered. Lastly is avoids them spraying in the house
. Need I say more on the last issue?

Thank you again for the help.

Hi Ruthyb,

Thank you for the nice warm welcome. I am not sure what to say about my cats that would be interesting to someone else. So let me know what you would like to know and I will gladly tell you
. Lastly this seems like a lovely forum to be part of
.

Hi Kallie,

Thank you for the nice welcome. Like I said to Ruthyb whatever you want to know about my cats just ask and I will tell you. Also are all nine of your cats permanent residents or are some of them fosters? Lastly are all your cats indoor or indoor/outdoor cats?

Hi flisssweetpea,

Thank you for the nice warm welcome. That was very very nice of you
. I did PM you a question. But I do not expect you to know the answer. Since the question is NOT related to this site.

All nine in my signature are my own spayed/neutered indoor babies!
My boyfriend, Dana, and I also foster for the local shelter and have "foster rooms" set up, so there are always lots of kitties around our home.

Hi Kaile,

Wow now you are sure a cat family. I have to ask how big or how many stories is your home? Do all your cats get along most of the time?

All but one of my cat is an indoor/outdoor cat. Panda is an inside cat by choice. Despite having been outside once she was brought inside she never went out again.

I am sure many people will be critical of the fact I let my cats outside, but I feel it is nicer to let them out if they wish to be outside. I guess since I do not live in a busy area. Plus I have woods behind my property. Along with the fact my cats get there inoculations every year. Once they have been tested for disease.

But I feel if the cat wants to be inside or the owner wants the cat to be inside that is fine as well.

Lastly that is great that you foster/rescue and rehome cats as well. I also must commend the fact you have foster rooms for your foster cats. You sound like you keep a very safe (for your personal nine cats) and professional set up.

Thank you for the warm welcome
.

To anyone else,

Could you please tell me what part of the forum is appropriate to post photo's on? I have some picture's I put on photo bucket of my cats to show you all.

Also does anyone want to tell me where under control panel the place to post my avatar is? Plus how does everyone here get all there "donations"?

Thank you all.

Hi Xocats,

Thank you so much for the info. You are beyond helpful. Thank you very much.

I have some more questions for you. The first is how many posts do you need to be a "supper cat" ? The second is in what increments of posting does it take for the forum to give you new icon choices? Lastly on this topic and just out of curiosity why does it take so long to put up your own personal avatar?

Lastly there a way to correct the birth date I put into the system?

I am going to go post some photo's right now I HOPE
.

Thank you very much Xocats.

If you look at the top area of our New Cats on the Block forum, you will find several threads with the kind of info you are looking for...
below is an example...
Threads for newbies / read before posting.http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82565

Regarding correcting your birth date...
Our TCS administrator, who contacted you after your request to change your username, would be the person to PM about that issue.

Hi Xocats,

Thank you for the link. I think I should have said this earlier perhaps
. I do not run Windows like most people do on there computer. I run an operating system called Linux. So some of what you all see when you log in is NOT as readily visible to me.

Thank you again for the help. I will contact the administrator again.
Thank you again.

We have members who use OSystems other than Windows.
If you have issues because of your OS, you might want to start a thread about it in our Support/Announcements forum.

Also, regarding your birth date issue...
if you just want it to show your birth date to other members, you can change your setting from your User CP.
Just click User CP
In the settings & options menu,
Click edit profile,
That might give you what you need.

Hi xocats,

Alright thank you very much for your help again
. You are the best
, that is for sure.

Hi catbehaviors,

Thank you very much for the warm welcome. I love your kitty face icon. Is that something you "made" or shall I say have the option to make later? If I could now I would love to. If you want to explain to me how to do it that is
.

The kitty faces are emoticons. You can do them like this. For the orange one, put a colon : type in cat, and put another colon, like this. : cat : , except don't put spaces in between the colon and writing.

The other one, you put : silver : , once again, no spaces.

Hope this helped,
Eileen
