Yesterday we went to the neighbors' for homemade soup, chips and dip and caramel apples. After eating we all carved a pumpkin. I know...it sounds so Americana. I was expecting Pa Ingalls to come in and rosin up his bow and begin playing on his fiddle any minute! Anyway, here is the fruit of my labor:

Happy Halloween!!!! Anyone else do some carving?

Wow, you guys are creative.
Rob and I are about to head back out to run errands and then carve the pumpkin really fast when we come back. I can't wait to toast the pumpkin seeds. I haven't done that in years!

We have no artistic talent so hopefully it will resemble something when we're finished with it.

it is really phenomenal. Saw this at the New York Botanical Garden on Friday - carving on the Guinness 2010 world record pumpkin, weighing in at 1,810.5 pounds.
