Waiting for Emmy...

You know how you like your house or apartment to always look nice when you know that visitors are coming? Well, I've been up since 4 am cleaning Emmy's new home. I know she won't care if there's a couple dishes in the sink or the laundry hasn't been done yet. I did, however, vacuum under the bed since she will probably spend some time there in the beginning..
Here's my checklist:
1. Cat food/treats
2. Litter and new litterbox
3. Toys
4. cat nip
5. Feliway diffusers in place
6. New sheets on the bed
7. A vet appointment for a checkup
8. My loving arms and open heart
Did I forget anything???

Oh I didn't know about Emmy! How exciting for you.

You might want to roll out a red carpet or something! I am going back to search the threads for what I've missed.

I would say that #8 is the most important "thing" on the list.

I can hardly wait. This seems to be the weekend for new furbabies to arrive at their forever homes. Two in this forum, and a dear friend of mine elsewhere brought home two new kittens yesterday after losing his 22 year old girl a few months ago.

Hurray for new furbabies! Hurry Home Emmy!

Oh, gosh, this reminds me of when I brought Dharma home - and since she was my very first cat, I had cat-owning friends check out my place to make sure everything was in place. I had practiced the whole week before about putting the lid down on the toilet, and kitty-proofing the whole condo (yes, my friends had gotten me Cats for Dummies).

I hope everything goes beautifully and I know Bella had a paw in this - she wanted some other kitty to experience a home full of love.
