Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone! Here's hoping you all have a great Halloween! Here in Australia, we don't get too many trick-or-treaters around here but when we do, I like to have a little fun with them, we have one of those video doorbells which we use to see who's at the door, luckily it also has a microphone. You can probably guess what we do with that. Whenever someone comes to the door, we shout, "BOO!" It's so funny to watch them jump, also, the most rewarding part of the night, then end! When we get to eat the rest of the choccies... So, what do you guys do on Halloween and if you see the poll, how many people do you get roughly on Halloween?

I couldn't vote because we never have trick or treaters come to our house.

Oh, sorry! I knew I forgot something in the poll, I can't edit it sadly but can a moderator please edit it to five options and the first being None. I would be so happy if one of you can do that.

how about no one?

I live in an apartment so we don't really get kids coming around. However, last year I felt so bad. A few did come but I didn't have anything to give. So I have them loonies instead.

This year I am prepared. I bought some Reeses Peanut Butter cups....mostly because I like them. I figure if any come around I can give those out, if not, then I'll just take a couple to work for lunch snacks.

I honestly don't know if I'll have any visitors this year or not! This will be my first Halloween in my new apartment. My friends Abby & Mia both moved into their apartments a few months back as well (Abby with her husband and Mia with her daughters) so between our three apartments, none of us can figure out if we'll have trick-or-treaters or not! I live up a flight of stairs, so I think I'll likely get less if we get any visitors at all. I have a glass pumpkin candy jar filled with bubble gum just incase though!

I didn't vote because I have no idea how many kids come around, since we just moved here in August. But we bought candy, and since we already ate some of it (only to test it to make sure it wasn't rancid or anything!! Honest!), I hope we don't have leftovers!!

There is a Halloween Carnival thingy in the park just behind our house, so there may be a fair amount of trick-or-treaters.. we'll see.

We didn't get a single tricker-treater for the 17 years we lived deep in a rural area. Since we moved, we get some, but still less than 10 a year. DH always buys way too much candy and we end up eating all of it ourselves.

5 or 10 years ago I was averaging about 150 each Halloween, but lately it's been way down. Over the past 3 years the most I got was 30.

We usually see between 40-60, but it depends on the weather. I'm guessing we'll see more tomorrow since it's a weekend.

I'm not sure how many I will get. I am moving tomorrow morning to my new house. There is a bunch of condos around and a school across the street so I am guessing I will get some kids. I bought a pack of 90 chocolate bars and a pack of 190 pieces of gum/lollipops.

NONE ... my light is not on as I do not celebrate... But when Mom was alive we had 80-100 a yr....

None here either, living out in the sticks we never see anyone anyway

I don't know as its the first year we've been here, we have had no one yet and I thought we may have got some last night, we have bought some sweets but they are rapidly declining x

I'm expecting a few more this year since our local Mall did their Halloween festivities on Friday. That means more kids will be on the streets instead of trick-or-treating there. We used to get 50-60 kids; the last few years it's been down to a couple of dozen.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE!!!!

The last few years hardly anyone at all has been trick or treating around here so I just stopped buying the goodies.

I did have a fun time last night at the club six of us went too. The costumes some wore were outstanding and very unique, I loved just watching them. We closed the club at 2am and since we were all starving we went to a diner for breakfast. Now I haven't done that in many, many years...not at 2am anyway.

Didn't get home till around 4am and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. It was a great night and I don't even have a hangover

I've added "none" to the poll. For the second year running, we got no trick or treaters. It's not a tradition around here, but kids are familiar with it from TV or movies, so some years we get them, and other years we don't.

Thanks for that :] Well, Halloween has finished here and it is now November 1st, we got about 12 kids altogether coming to our house, however we had to tell off some naughty kids who were littering I was actually think that we would get no one come but they all came pretty late. When they stopped coming, we enjoyed some nice chocolates. Yummy!

None. I don't like kids, but I do like Halloween and seeing trick or treaters

We live on a street with 5 houses, off the main road, with no street lights. Could be why we don't get any kids. Plus, the main road is a 50mph road, so kids never trick or treat on there either, though I think I saw a few at a house earlier. Not sure if they lived there or not. Hubby lived on that main road as a kid and his mom would take him & his brother to the subdivisions for trick or treating.

We don't get any, we're at the end of the end of town, on the end of a dead end street, so nobody ever comes by.
I've had one come by so far. I think this will be the last year I do this. I used to get at least 12...oh well

****Correction I HAD one. I just had about 12-15 come by in a five minute period So I might do this next year.

Our record, set about 5 years ago, was 225 kids! However, we don't get as many anymore. I'd say we had 100+ tonight.

They loved our severed heads on the lawn! The neighborhood kids are very sweet and also very polite--and so many cute tiny kids! We had a blast tonight.
we didnt get any again this year . But we didnt figure we would! We live on a pretty busy road with no side walks and very few lights so that would be why!
I would love to do a trunk or treat kind of thing, but since the only places that do those here are churches we probably never will.

We had a grand total of 31 kids. I'd only made 24 treat bags, but had bought more candy today just in case. There are, I believe, 10 kids that live on our block; only 1 of them came by. Makes me wonder.
Well, I didn't have a single trick-or-treater last night.

I voted in the poll today. I think we had probably 40 or so kids? I was really worried at first, because for about 20 minutes we only had the next door neighbor kids. But then a few more came.. We still have a good amount of candy left though, which I guess is better than running out. (well, not better for my waistline, but... oh well! )

We did get a group of about 5 high schoolers.. But they were cool, they had a good sense of humor, were actually dressed up in costumes and said trick or treat, and after I was kind of laughing at them, they said they were really 5 years old, they didn't grow up yet. And we had plenty of candy, so sure, take a handful, have fun!!
