I just got a pack of the undies, hanes I think, that claim to be wedgie free and they are!!! The waist band could be softer; but other than that I'm pleased! And they were pretty cheap! I hate spending money on that kind of stuff. LOL!

Did you get the comfort band type? If not, those ones are fairly soft. I guess mine are considered "no ride up", too, which when I think of it - they don't. I guess I don't notice since they're not doing it? lol

I've never been picky about underwear, so I can't offer much help, I just get whatever looks cute, as long as it sits on my hips and no higher (otherwise they would be higher than my jeans) though I don't wear thongs, unless I'm wearing thin pants or a skirt and if I don't wear a thong I'd have a panty line that doesn't look cute.

my absolute favorite underwear is Hanes cotton ones. i prefer the boxer brief style, but they also make a bikini, a brief & a low-rise brief. they usually come 2-3 to a package, & cost about $5-$7 a pack. i get them @ Target.

I like the boxer briefs, too. . . the ones with the fake fly, LOL. Wal-Mart stopped carrying them! I'll have to check out Target, thanks!

I'm not terribly picky about underwear unless they are, well, more important than my day-to-day pairs
. (Get your mind out'ta the gutter
- I could just be talking about the pairs that I wear when other underwear is not appropriate such as when wearing a dress or certain types of pants, skirts, or the like.)

My fancier underwear usually come from Victoria's Secret. As far as style, it just depends on my mood and what they're being worn for/with. As far as my everyday underwear, I buy Hanes and Fruit of the Loom. I like ones that sit lower on my hips and usually buy bikinis, hipsters, boy shorts, or the boxers that everyone raves about on here (which I wear to bed a lot of the time). I think it's Hanes, but one of the brands now has a new style - they're seamless and very light. Best part is...they're 3/$10. I found them at Walmart and they're so comfy. The only ones I stay away from are thongs. I know a lot of people love 'em, but they're uncomfortable and I have kidney and bladder issues and so they're not practical for me. I also don't do high-cuts or briefs, but that's just more of a personal preference.

Just to add...I don't know how some people can go without. I can't figure out how that would be comfortable. I'd be too worried that, I don't know, something would happen
.

I just started shaving everything off down there, and since I did I haven't had a single UTI or yeast infection since then. Not a one. It's been probably over 5 years since I've had either. That is also about the same time I switched to thong during the day and regular underwear at night, which means I change my underwear twice a day.
I had the same problem, which I "fixed" the same way you did!
As for me, VS and Hanes Her Way are my favorites. VS quality went off about 2 years ago, so mostly I use HHW now.

I used to have the same problem...one other thing my gyn told me to do to curb the bladder infections was also to ALWAYS pee after sex. I cant remember what it was she said exactly but she told me that most women dont pee after sex and somehow or for some reason it is a leading cause in UTIs and bladder infection in women. So I ALWAYS pee getting some nookie from the hunni.

But on the topic of undie pants, if Im wearing sweats I go without having underwear on for as long as possible and when I do wear underwear I just get the normal ones from Hanes or FOL...Whichever ones look more comfy and normally which ever one has the get a pair extra deal. LOL. Im going to start going back to VS though because with the normal brands Im in between a small and medium and I cant stand having underwear up my butt and with VS I fit a small and it covers my butt and stays put.

I love Victoria's Secret for both bras and panties.
I buy my panties at K-Mart. I like Fruit of the Loom and Haynes Her Way. Comfortable and not pricey at all. I don't understand paying a fortune for clothing no one sees. If it fits, I buy it. I have pairs that are 3-4 yrs old that are just fine!
I have some of those in the hi-cut and, honestly? I like them. I usually get them at Target.

Bras, OTOH, I have a difficult time with bras. Why do all the manufacturers think that we need a ton of padding in our bras these days? I hate bra shopping!

I must admit that all my panties come from Victoria's Secret. I can't wear any other brand. When they have their big sales I stock up

I prefer the "hiphuggers" but I also have a few of the "granny" style (briefs) they have and they are really nice and soft and comfy but I only wear those when I need something full coverage.

funny story - i had the white faux-fly ones on a trip, & one of the places we visited was my cousin's house, where we did a load of washing. my mom was folding everything - she put my undies in my nephew's stack 'cause she thought they were his!

I heard that too somewhere, and I always do also.
I couldn't imagine just going straight to bed or getting dressed, though, if you know what I mean. lol I always need to do a little maintenance.

I always did too, when I was active that is. My ex husband chose to take that as a personal insult. What a jerk he was.

This is my preferred brand - Maidenform -
http://www.maidenform.com/panties/st...t-brief-V40543

They stretch, have a cotton where needed, don't ride up - and, look nice.

I always use a laundry bag when washing them, and rarely put them into the dryer - I usually air dry - doesn't take long because most of the panty is lace.

Tried Fruit of the Loom Briefs, very thin comfortable cotton, but they pill very quickly, and recently I've noticed that the cheek elastic must be wearing out already, because they are riding up my butt just enough to annoy.  Have tried many other brands, but like you can't find ones that aren't too thick or don't ride up (just to wear to bed!).  For daytime, I've found that Maidenform Boy Shorts in Latte are the only things to wear - don't ride up, thin and cool, can wear under white, and they're not unreasonably priced on sale (Macy's $5 each?).
