Does anyone here know of or watch Invader Zim on Nickelodeon? My son decided this year that he wanted to be Gir for Halloween. We spent last night working on his costume for the party at his school today, and I think it turned out pretty good. It's not the most fancy costume, and it's a bit rough around the edges in some parts, but otherwise I think we did a good job. Everyone at his school LOVED it, and my husband said that after school he had a couple parents and their kids ask to take pictures with him. LOL

Trying it on for size

Nora had to try it on also

Finished product

For those that have never seen the show...here's a comparison. I'm wearing it, without the green tunic. What do you think??

Awesome costume!

I spent years making costumes for my kids who are 8 years apart & different sexes. I made a Tyrannosaurus Rex costume for our daughter complete with lavish head gear for Jenny. In The Years in between, I lent the costume to my friends for their kids.
Then Jen wanted to be the female Yellow Power Ranger, not the pink one for which there where costumes. I was traveling on business and ended up finishing up finishing the costume at 3 am.

But really the best costume I ever made is rhe Draco Malfroy robes I made for my blond-haired son. I made it big so he wore it for three years. He won second place at the Oakland A's Harry Potter contest. The kid who looked like Harry Potter won but I was really proud of my son and me.

Yeah, we ended up finishing this costume at 3am last night also! LOL It was fun, though, and gave me something to do. I have a bad eye "infection" (it's not really an infection, but that's the best way to describe it) right now so that made it interesting since I'm very light sensitive right now. We got it done, though, and he loves it.

Congrats on the Draco costume. That sounds really cool!! I loved the year that my son dressed up as Harry Potter, everyone thought he looked so cute. LOL
