Nora and her baby

A couple years ago my in laws gave Nora these stuffed toys, one a flea and one a tick. Their dog has large versions of them that he plays with. Up until recently, Nora has completely ignored all toys but we've kept them in a small basket next to her scratch pad. In the past month or two she has started digging in the basket and takes out what she wants to play with. (If only we can get her to clean up after herself, right? lol) For some reason she has decided that the "flea" is her baby, and she actually grooms it and cuddles with it, while she lays on her scratch pad. I thought it was cute, so I took a couple pictures last night. (Yes, she frequently uses the scratch pad as a bed...weird cat.)

Aww, so cute!! I love Nora!

It's funny when they all of a sudden develop an interest in a toy that they've ignored for years... I wonder what changes that makes them like it all of a sudden?
