Well, today I found out. Had to go to town for tractor fuel, and Jack thought he would meet me at the corner but I just kept going to the lane way, stopped briefly to change range, dropped the bucket and started pushing snow. Poor Fat Jack was just appalled a the treatment and chased that tractor for another 200 yards or more. The answer is just over 2/10 of a mile. I have never seen anything so mad for a ride!!!

Indeed he did get his ride, in fact, he had 4 rides. Moving snow is not his favourite ride - he prefers mowing, cultivating, anything that is straight ahead.

As to pictures, I do have one of him sprawled across the tractor seat, but I rarely take a camera with me for jobs like that and the phone's camera doesn't do distances very well.

I loved that story and totally believe it! I grew up on a farm and we had barn cats, one awesome Tabby named Bumper who loved nothing more then to ride in the pickup when we drove through the fields, fed the cows, he was well known at the grain store! He absolutely loved tractor rides as well
. So much he would purr and purr so hard he would drool!

Yes, he did work hard for that ride, and he had another one tonight. He also made a bid to become a house cat tonight, something he hasn't done for years. Got all the way in too, and strangely, no one attempted a fight.
