Kitty!!! I'm not sure....but I really thought I heard her repeat it when Noodles came running in and jumped up on the couch. Tressa started crawling over and babbling. After that it went back to the typical Dadadadada babbling she's been at for a while now.

That's why I wasn't sure I heard her right. She sort of did it twice. But I guess I repeat the word about a thousand times a day. Tressa loves the girls, they don't care for her so much!

I hope she repeats it soon so you can confirm that's what she was indeed saying!

That's the best first word there can be, if I recall, (really if my parents can, to be honest
) My first word was..... Nanna and papa
I wish my first word was kitty. Definitely a future TCS member!

That's sweet! Perhaps Tressa is going to grow up to be a vet.

We're still teasing our 22-year-old nephew about his first word: "excavator". It's shorter in German: "Bagger". How does a baby come up with that? He's an engineer now, though, so maybe first words are prophetic.

Our son stood up, walked, talked and got his first tooth when he was 10 1/2 months. He didn't say the cat's name. He said, "Mommy, no read to me."
