How old does a cat have to be in order to get alzheimers?

My cat Lynxx is 9 years old. He's beginning to act like my cousin's dog did when he got alzheimers. Isn't 9 to young? Could it be that he would have gotten alzheimers in the future, but the stress of the 3 kittens Luna, Midnight, Autumn made it happen sooner?

Lynxx will jump down off the chair, and look lost like he doesn't know where to go. He wanders around like he's lost. He isn't eating like he used to. He used to always need food, every time we turned around he needed food. Now he barely eats. He has been pulling out his fur on his stomach and hind legs. He will be going to a new vet on Monday. I know my cousin's dog did similar things, and the vet told her he had alzheimers but he was like 16 or 17 when he died. Lynxx is only 9.

Lynxx wasn't happy when we brought Luna home. That's what started everything. Lynxx was happy as an only cat. We knew that, but Luna we rescued when someone threw her out of their window on the highway.

Luna did drive Lynxx crazy going after his tail. We didn't exactly rescue Midnight, but we took him from the person who did rescue him. We only took him because everyone kept saying if we got 2 kittens, they'd play together and leave Lynxx alone. We didn't know that Midnight was only 3 weeks old when we agreed to take him. So they didn't get to play together for awhile.

As for Autumn she and Lynxx seem to get along the best, even though when they first met she attacked him.

Now Luna completely ignores Lynxx and Lynxx acts sad when she ignores him, but that's all he wanted was her to leave him alone, now she is and he isn't happy.

Midnight we keep away from him completely because he's overwhelming when he plays, he doesn't take the hint that Lynxx doesn't want to play so we keep him away, or keep a very close eye on him.

Lynxx is going to the vet on Monday. Violet I will print that article, and bring it to the vet with us. Thank you.
