I type properly. As for my speed....does really really really super duper fast count...... I only know its fast because while job hunting a couple years ago one lady who has been a secretary for 20+ yrs commented on my typing being faster and better than hers.... I guess that's why I didn't get the job haha don't type better then the boss. Lol

Both hands... fingers on the 'home keys'... The last I tested I typed at 85 wpm...

Everyone always comments on the fact that I can type without looking at the keyboard or the screen... so when people walk into my office and I'm typing something... I look up at them and keep typing... lol

Both hands on the keyboard. I can type fast, but haven't been tested in years.

I can type without looking at the keyboard, too. And when somebody comes in my cube, I'll just look up, but keep typing. It makes one of my co-workers crazy. He keeps saying, "How do you do that?" He's a hunt-and-pecker, so I tell him he's just jealous.

He also refers to me as the Redheaded Woodpecker. We work in cubes, not really offices, and so we can always hear what the others are doing. He says my fast typing makes him spastic sometimes, that that's all he hears.

I type properly, as for speed I have no idea.
I only passed typing in school, by promising the teacher I would never take it again

Two-handed, without the fingers on the correct keys. My last job's typing test pegged me at 122 words per minute at 99% accuracy. I also don't need to look at the screen or keyboard while doing it.

I do that too. Sometimes I can have a conversation with someone while I'm typing, but I usually end up typing what I'm saying.

The last test I took I was at 76 words per minute.

My office is so quiet you can hear a pin drop most of the time... it's a very small company (only 7 of us) and we're all friends... so when I go on a typing-rampage, my friend, Lu, will call my extension (our offices are right next to each other, mind you) and she'll be like "can you keep it down in there!?!" LOL

I'm two handed, don't need to look, requires very little concentration - but I doubt the correct fingers are on the correct keys.

I don't know what speed it is, but I can type really rather fast when I want to. It always leads to too many questions about how I can type this fast, and how I don't need to look at it

2 properly, I don't have to look at the keyboard which is good because before this computer used one that was so worn most of the keys were not labeled.
Last typing test they couldn't believe the results
I took it twice.

wow, we sure have some fast typers.

I type properly with 2 hands, and without looking at the keys. I do watch the screen unless I am doing something else like reading from a paper and typing it up, or chatting, etc.

Occassionally I will look at the screen, especially when doing numbers or not the usual punctuation.

I used to be around 70wpm, but now with both hands being crappy, I'm at about 20-30, occassionally 50 if having a good day but that is far and few between.

It depends on what I'm doing. Right now I'm on the phone with my dad so I'm only typing with four fingers.
I usually only use four fingers on but on my left hand and use my mouse - for typing shorter things.

For longer responses I type properly with both hands.

I don't know my typing speed.

I use 2 hands, but I don't use the standard typing method. Instead, my hands float around over the keyboard more. I can type without looking at the keyboard for short stretches, but I'll eventually get lost and have to glance back down and find my position again. As for speed, I would guess maybe 40 words per minute, but I've never actually timed myself. Whatever my speed is, it's usually faster than I can think up what I want to type, so I'm happy with it.

Two-handed, hands on the 'home keys', just like Sr. Jane taught me.
Unfortunately, the week we were learning the upper row of keys (the numbers and signs) I was sick and missed out on it completely. I still have to look to do the top row. As for my speed, haven't tested in years, but can type pretty fast.

I type properly with both hands on the keyboard. I type pretty fast, but I don't know exactly how fast. I've had people comment on my fast typing before. I have pretty good accuracy if I'm just typing from memory, but if I'm copying something I'm not perfect, which makes those speed tests inaccurate. At least for me anyway, b/c I type MUCH faster and better when I'm typing from memory.

I type well above average speed - and I do use both hands
UNLESS there is a kitty cradled in my arm - then I type one handed hunt and peck slow as molasses. I wouldn't want to take a typing test with my cat in the room

I'm told I type fast but I don't know how fast. My mom says I type faster than she does, and she did take typing in school. I have never taken typing lessons or classes, I learned to type by posting on forums, LOL. I use both hands and I kind of use the home keys but I doubt I type "properly". I do need to look at the keyboard, but not because I'm looking for the keys, it's just habit.

I type two handed and fast. I don't know the speed tho. I don't look at the keyboard but I do look at the monitor.
