Anyone's cat love emery boards?

For a long time I've noticed that my Ziggy LOVES emory boards. He will try and bite them if I'm using them and I have to keep them put away when not in use.

Yesterday, my dd's orthodontist gave me a "crystal emory board." It's made of glass. Today I took it out of it's little sleeve and was smoothing a rough nail on my toe and out of NOWHERE comes Ziggy, full speed, trying to grab that emery board! I held it up for him and he began frantically biting it! He grabbed the sleeve and ran with it. CRAZY!

I tried it on my other cats and nothing, nada, zippo. When my dh came home I held up the crystal board and Ziggy went bonkers once again. It's SOOOO funny.

Anyone else notice this with their cat?

Oh yeah....Maggie destroys every one she can get her little teeth on. She's just like Ziggy...she can hear it from a mile away, and comes running full tilt...trying to grab it out of my hands.

Same in my household...everyone except Sven. I just wish I could get them to use it on their claws instead of trying to bite it . I keep trying to show them how to really use it, but they would rather file their teeth

Yeah!! Larry does like an emery board - and two of my late former kitties did too! What's up with that, I wonder!!

I bought one of those emory bed thingamajingees. As long as I put catnip on it Butzie loves it.

Flambe just loves them, too. Who can explain cats?

Count Mollipop in on that! On Sunday night, I was using a board....she jumped up into bed and took it right out of my hands! I had to chase her to get it back!
