ok so I live in CA and it is not so cold but my apt. is at night. I only moved in last April and it was warm enough then to not need the heat. Now I have to have the handyman come and light the pilot light and then make sure that my heat really works. I am not sure it does. I set the thermostat last
april and the heat never came on. Gotta love that purrrfect heat.

Well we know for sure ours won't be working this year. Exhaust needs relining at the least, maybe replacing. Got a few heaters we plan to use and the one near water to be on all the time so we don't freeze our pipes. Hopefully out of this house at some point.

At moment I have ac running a little while to get out some humidity its to hot upstairs and down even with windows closed its still humid in house. Turn that off in a bit and make some tea I guess:p

I'm cold too!! It's been in the 50s at night the past few nights, and we have very un-insulating windows, and who knows what kind of wall insulation, if any.
The heat works, but BF doesn't want to put it on because he doesn't want to heat the whole house when we're just in 1 room.. Well... we split the bills, and I'm the one who pays the gas bill, so I say let me have heat! He's been cold at night too, so let's just be warm!

This past weekend we lit the fireplace for the first time, that was really nice, it heated the living room up really well!!

I see you're also feeling the humidty. I turned on my a/c today also, I can't take this humidity. Oh how I wish it would feel like autumn again, it should start feeling better tomorrow when it's going into the 50's unless the humidty is high again. For me the cold weather make me feel so much better.

The Californians are cold and the east coasters are too warm. That's an odd way round for almost November. Here in Connecticut, the temp was. 75 degrees yesterday!

You must have heat. I live for warmth, sun, and heat. I used to where it was warm year round but I moved to a state where it gets very cold during the winter. I am already sleeping in warm pajamas, with dogs, a cat, and tons of blankets and a heat beanie thing, I dread the upcoming months of cold.

We have a fire lit tonite in the woodstove. That very windy weather we have been experiencing have have dropped the temps in the house to 60F. The temps are dropping to mid to upper 40's day low 30's upper 20's night. Will have to break out the flannel sheets next week!
