Hi, I'm new here. I just wanted to introduce my 4 cats:
Lynxx is 9 years old, he's a huge short hair tiger stripe tabby. I found him in a plastic back in the parking lot of my mother's work. He was 8 weeks old at the time. My mother always refused to let me have a cat, but she fell in love with him on the car ride to the cat hospital. Since she said I could keep him, I let her name. He was an only cat until this summer. He misses being an only cat. He doesn't really like the others. He doesn't like when they play with him. I wish I could do something (not involving getting rid of the other 3) to make him happy again. He was always the happiest cat you'd ever want to meet. He's always going to be my favorite no matter what. I wish I could make him understand that.
Luna is 5 months old she's part tabby and part turkish van. I watched someone throw her from their car onto the side of the road. I started screaming for my mother to stop the car. I ran over to her picked her up, luckily she was ok, nothing appeared broke, thank God because it was a Saturday night and my vet and the other vets around here were closed. She was scared, she shivered and cried the whole way home. We found she was covered in fleas, on top of fleas, on top of fleas. We bathed her in Dawn which killed most of them. Then found a vet open that Sunday morning rushed her there, and she was given flea meds, and checked over nothing broken, no internal damages. She was fine. After seeing what she went through, and saving her, there was no way we could give her away so we kept her. Again I let my mother name her.
Midnight is 12 weeks old he is a long hair tiger stripe tabby. He came here because we thought he could occupy Luna, so she would leave Lynxx alone. Midnight was found outside of my mother's friend's house. My mother's friend found him early 1 morning crying outside. She thought he was about 5 weeks old. My first thought when I saw him was "omg how tiny" my second thought was "midnight" he was all black at the time. He fit in the palm of my father's hand. On the ride home all he did was purr, and purr very loudly. We later found out he came from my mother's friend's neighboring farm. The mother cat was moving them, and I guess he got lost. Luckily they didn't ask for him back. They told us he was actually only 3 weeks old. That's why he was so tiny. He still has that very loud purr! He and Luna got along from the moment they saw each other.
Autumn 14 weeks old she is a british short hair tabby, she is mostly white, with tabby stripes on her back, and big round eyes. She just came here last Thursday. She was in an animal shelter we were donating food to, my father saw her, and she jumped right into his arms. It was love at first sight. If a cat can smile believe me, she smiled the whole ride home and hasn't stopped smiling since! She loves us all, no doubt there. It's a little hard getting her adjusted to the other cats. She hisses, growls and attacks them. She seems to have made peace with Lynxx, they appear to be good friends. She ignores the other 2 kittens. The other 2 have tried to be friends with her.
I'm just hoping that all of this works out. I know my father fell in love with Autumn at first sight, truthfully I didn't. I had a bad feeling, maybe I sensed that the kittens wouldn't get along? I don't know, I can't explain it, she was very loving to me when I held her, but it was different with her, than when I first saw my other 3. Like I said maybe it was because I sensed she wouldn't get along with the other kittens. I keep a close eye on her whenever she's near the other 3. Anyone else ever feel this way about their new kitten/cat?

Give Autumn a chance hun.
All of your furry babies sound adorable! I'd love to see pics. With a little time, patience and lots of love the kitties should all at least tolerate each other if not become friends. Hope you enjoy TCS!

It will take a while, sometimes it takes weeks and months. Just be patient. You have a wonderful gang there!

Welcome,

It sounds like your family has fallen in love with cats...
they can to that to people.

If there is a behavior issue with Autumn, with knowledge and patience, most kitties learn to live with each other.
I see that you posted a question about this issue in our behavior forum...
that is a great place to start.

Thanks for your introduction...
we'll see you around the site.
Meow!

Kailie do you really have 9 cats? Do they all get along? Your nova's face looks a lot like my Luna's face.

Xocats your cat pictured on the left, looks like my Autumn.

Autumn and Midnight are doing much better. They play with each other by pawing at each other through their carriers. There doesn't seem to be anymore hissing and growling from either of them. Now I just need Autumn and Luna to get used to each other, then I can have them meet out of their carriers.

Hi there

Welcome to TCS (The Cat Site) I know that you will love it here, it's a very good and informative site with many, many wonderful members. If you need any help with anything around the forums, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be glad to help, either drop me a line by PM (Private Message) on my Profile or leave a Visitor Message. I'm glad that Autumn is getting along with Midnight. Just give Autumn some time and I'm sure she'll come around. It took our two babies around a month or so to like each other. I know you'll have a great time on the forums.

Hoping to see you around the forums,
Jackz, Jazzy & Ginga.
