It's 1:44 am. I'm exhausted. I really want to go to bed. But I'm sitting here holding my twinkle because I don't want the flushing to wake the baby.
The flushing or the water pump under the house. Is that not crazy?????

Normally she is a very good sleeper; but I just had to calm her down because she's cutting several teeth at once here. The last few teeth that came in you wouldn't have known something was even up. It's a little warmer in here tonight thanks to the nice weather today; so that may not be helping.

*sigh* I need to record this one in her book! LOL!

Aw, babies. Inconvenient but worth it.

Hey, I know! Don't flush! Just make sure to put the lid down. . .LOL.

Sometimes I have to wake up in the middle of the night to pee but I wont flush because the flushing will actually wake me up. LOL Just put the lid down and flush in the morning then noone gets woken up haha.

When our son was a baby, I would vacuum under his crib and he didn't wake up. My mom told me to do things as normally as possible to get him used to everyday (and night) noises.

Yeah, you need to put that in her book!

Nuh uh...might give me away!
Hey, I grew up in a house with well water and a really really old pump (my dad finally had it completely replaced when I was in high school) so the rule was, every-other tinkle got to flush, every #2 was flushed. So, there would be plenty of times I went pee and didn't flush the toilet because that was the rule.

Why does the pump matter? It was sooooo old, it often would sit there and run and run and run after a flush. So, to save on the electric bill, dad said that we had to do it that way (and dad could be a cranky-kind-of-guy).

That is what I had to do with my youngest. Her room is right beside the bathroom. There is no way I could hold it all night

When our baby was born, we decided to go about our usual business while she was sleeping and not tip-toe around or try to be quiet. Unfortunately, it didn't work with our daughter - she didn't want to miss A THING, so at the slightest noise she was wide awake and looking around. Our baby didn't cooperate with our plan, lol!

We bought a hepa filter air purifier for her room and the white noise helped smooth over the daily noises, but after a couple of years we had to wean her off the white noise or we thought she'd always need it to fall asleep.

You sound like such a great mom, definitely this is one story for the baby book.

If I wake up in the middle of the night, I stumble to the other bathroom in the house to pee, because the master bathroom door squeaks loudly and the toilet flushing is loud too. I don't want to wake the hubby (too bad he usually doesn't do the same
). Usually I trip over a cat or two along the way.

Like others suggested, I would have went and flushed it later. If you're staying well hydrated your urine would have been diluted to begin with and wouldn't have really had any smell.

That worked at first. Not so much anymore. Normally I can if she's been asleep for a bit (not vacuuming, but other normal noises). But because her sleep was disturbed I knew she needed time to settle down again.

Glad I'm not the only one who can't do stuff! Her door squeaks and she'll sit right up if I try to go peek at her.
