Anybody out there panning on watching or has watched the new British Sherlock holmes drama set in modern times? I've been snagging the previews on PBS.org and am really interested.

I'm ususally not a mystery buff, but it looks like they may have done a good job of reinventing it. The actors look promising and it was written by Steven Moffat (of Dr. Who fame).

I am hopng they post it to their streaming video website. If not, I'll have to wait till Nov. 9th for the DVD. The BBC ususally blocks overseas IP addresses from their site and its not posted anyways -wah!!!

I loved Sherlock - a nice update to a classic. A three part mini-seroes. Next in line is Wallander which I also loved. Not so keen on........dang, can't remember the name of the next mini-series...some gulf war drama

Video's up on PBS.org... Just watched it. Yeah!

It was very good. The actor who plays Holmes is awesome.

The mystery was a little bit lame. It is more about the realtionship between the two men Watson and Holmes, IMO.

I'm lovin' it. I really love the Masterpiece Mystery series on PBS. (My favorite being Inspector Lewis). I was a little leery of this, being sort of a Sherlock Holmes purist, but I'm really enjoying it! I just watched the 2nd one. I think Holmes and Watson have a really good relationship going, and I'm looking forward to next week!

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
Yeah, I just finished watching it... they did an excellent job modernizing it. I'm also a bit of a purist with the period stuff... I have my favorite Poirot, etc... but this new version is decent...

Doesn't hurt that Holmes is kinda cute... wait, did I just say that out loud?

No kidding... He is kind of a hot version of Temple Grandin.

Have to say they did make him look much better for the show though. The longish black curls and gray coat suit him. If you see pics of Benedict Cumberbatch he's really a wierd shade of strawberry blond and about 10 pounds heavier. He admitted to dieting for the role to make him look gaunt and lean.
