Hi all,
I have a great cat, a shelter kitty I adopted about a year ago who is either all Burmese or has a LOT of Burmese in him. He's about a year-and-a-half old now, if the shelter's age estimation was correct.
Anyway, for the last few weeks, Snitch has been freaking out whenever I wash dishes. First, he sits outside the kitchen and starts chirping frantically, and then he will start bristling up and making these little sideways hops towards the kitchen, or run at full speed upstairs and then shoot back downstairs. Then he will approach me in the kitchen and put his paws up on my hip while continuing to chirp.
I try to talk to him in a soothing tone when he starts getting upset, but it doesn't seem to help. His fur sometimes settles when he gets near me, and if my hands aren't covered in suds, I try to pet him and that calms him down.
Anyway - I can't figure it out for the life of me. It just started a few weeks ago, but now he does it every time.
Thanks!
